do I get a prize for being the first person to post on the new "what cozy did you just finish reading" thread??
I've just finished reading A Shilling for Candlesby Josephine Tey, an oldie but goodie.
it was a fun read.

You rock as always Brainsgirl! Hey did you ever get married?? I know you were planning the wedding awhile back. If so, hope all went well :)

I really like that one! Of course, I think I say that about all Tey's books :P

I just finished . It's about a museum and missing art, which I always love, and it had some fun secondary characters. Really liked it.

Just finished and really liked it. Can't wait to read more of this series.

I just finished Death in the Orchid Garden . This was my first read by this author. I read it due to it's being set in Hawaii and I was on a trip.

I found it really slow and hard to get through. There were so many characters, it was really hard to keep people straight. Also the descriptions were kind of over-done and I didn't like the main character, she came across as kind of uppity or something. I probably wouldn't have finished it, but I just about always finish a book or a movie once I start it.

I wonder what others think of this author?

I have liked them all, as well, the plots are always a bit different. my favorite is still Brat Farrar.
Miss Pym disposes was Really different, almost not a mystery at all, but I loved Tey's style.

I finished reading Book, Line and Sinker by Jenn McKinlay. I really like this series. Have enjoyed the three I've read so far.

I really enjoyed that whole series, but it rapidly stops being 'cozy' at, I think, the second book.

I just finished . I liked the story and the characters but (view spoiler)[I wanted to smack Marcy upside the head for telling every person she ran into all the information she'd learned about what was going on! She's just moved to this town, she doesn't know who's trustworthy and who isn't, but that doesn't stop her from blabbing everything to everyone! Arrrrrgh! (hide spoiler)]

Just finished , which I liked, and . Deuce's views and sarcastic wit remind me a lot of the Tim Cockney's Hitchcock Sewell undertaker series.

Finished last night. Had me laughing out loud a bunc of times and I was surprised by the killer!

Just finished . It's the second in a series set in modern-day London about two brothers who rent office space in a building at 221b Baker Street. They receive letters to Sherlock Holmes and get mixed up in mysteries.

I liked the first one in that series and hope to read the second one this summer. What did you think of it, Sara?

I guess you'd call it a cozy, just finished . Don't bother!

today I finished by Ngaio Marsh. a very good Inspector Alleyn, one of the later ones.

Read this one a few months back. I thought the ending very Agatha Christie-esque (along the lines of And Then There Were None).

I finished The Diva Frosts a Cupcake a couple of days ago and promptly forgot all about it. Says a bit about the book...

Don't know if you would consider it a cozy but I just finished reading Sue Grafton's T is for Trespass.

Oh no! Melodie didn't love it either. Glad I just got it from the library and didn't buy it.

I'm not a camping person but I really enjoy the Frannie Shoemaker campground mysteries. I just finished the second one and see that the first one is free right now. I would recommend both as very enjoyable reads!

But why does he feel the need to know where she is but even in the first book when he shows up on her porch at night or in her house that's creepy.
I hope the relationship goes somewhere in the next book

I believe, in the second book, there's an explanation for his being able to find her (view spoiler)[didn't he bug her cellphone, or plant a bug in her purse somehow? (hide spoiler)]. I didn't get the stalker vibe from him at all. I think he and the 14th street gang are the most entertaining parts of the series so far! :)

Just finished Joanne Fluke's Blueberry Muffin Murder.. Love her series. I just can't get enough!

I've read both of these and enjoyed them. Hoping a new one will be out one of these days.

Just finished Laura Childs' Sweet Tea Revenge which I read right after The Agony of the Leaves. Can't believe she had the main character runing through a cemetery two books in a row. I always like these.

Finished , which I thought was really good, and also read (love this series) and , which I got as a freebie a while back and really enjoyed it.

Just finished installment #7 of the Domestic Diva series, and enjoyed it very much:

Just finished . Although I still like the series, I'm beginning to think it's losing it's appeal. The charm and coziness seems to be gone and it just felt tired and lifeless.

End Me a Tenor and have enjoyed both books in the series so far so I think I will give her other cozy series a try :)

I definitely think you should, Heidi!! The Rebecca Robbins series is a good one, too. Did you decide if you were going to give her YA, , a shot? It's a pretty good read.

yay! can't wait to hear your thoughts on it! I've had my eye on her other series, but I haven't yet picked up the first one - Melodie gives it high recs. I think I'll save it for one of the slow, low-new-releases months. :)
