Just a small note to clear things up, since a few people have pointed this out.

- Book discussion may start at ANY point during the month, and may be started by ANYONE in the group - not just mods!

- If you are making a thread to discuss parts of the book rather than the whole thing, make sure to include which bit of the book you are discussing, so people who have not yet read that bit do not encounter any spoilers.

For example: You want to discuss the first chapter of The Name of the Wind. You could create a discussion thread entitled 'The Name of the Wind / Chapter One' or something along those lines.

- If you are making an overall discussion thread, please make that clear and highlight that it will contain spoilers.

For example: Make the title something like 'The Name of the Wind / Overall Discussion **SPOILERS**

Can it be part of the rules to link the book whenever a BotM discussion is created? The "This topic is about ___________" part when creating the topic ought to be filled up.

Good idea Ana. And for the thread starters who forgot to do it, I believe the moderators can edit the thread afterwards.

I'm guessing the reason for not using spoiler tags is that they don't work in the Goodreads app? Having separate threads is great, but just for myself personally, I like the tags even better; then I can choose when to open each spoiler.

I'm kind of afraid to look at any of the Uprooted comments until I finish reading the book because many people have already finished. :)

Well we actually did start doing chapter by chapter (or several chapter) discussions, but actually so many people finish quite quickly that it just seems like we only tend to get an overall thread now. If you look back to the first threads, you'll see we did chapter threads :)
