This is how the game will progress:

I will post the starting question.

After this post, your posts will contain:
- An answer to the previous question. Only answer the most recent question posted.
- A new question for the next person.
And so the game will continue.

Try to make your questions as creative as possible!

The starting question is:

Question: If you made a Horcrux*, what object would you use and why?

(*An object used to store part of a person's soul, protecting them from death. Comes from JK Rowling's Harry Potter books. For more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horcrux )

message 2: by L (new)

L | 1252 comments If i made a Horcrux, the object that i would use is a delicate gold bracelet which holds special significance to me. It is a thin interlocking link chain with a tiny circular disk in the centre. The disc contains an inscription ~ my Grandmother's name and our family name (Carquest) and my Grandparent's address. It was a bracelet that was a gift, passed down to my mother and now to me. It is the only piece of jewellery i own of my Grandparents, and so it is a part of my history ~ connecting the past with the future.

This bracelet came to mind, as in "Harry Potter, J.K Rowling" Tom Riddle uses objects that are of great value to him and which link his past (as Tom Riddle the orphan) to the present Lord Voldemort.

*laughs* Mine would probably be my computer as well...actually, 'My Precious' a.k.a my 'One Ring To Rule Them All' would probably be my computer because I never let it out of my sight!

L | 1252 comments Q). If you could jump into a book, what would it be and why?

message 7: by Zohal, Co-Moderator (new)

Zohal | 1418 comments Mod
I would jump into the world of The Infernal Devices so I could experience their way of living and I'd get to wear pretty Victorian Clothing.

My main reason is so I can charm Will Herondale away from Tessa to me. ;)

And I'd get to meet the dashing Jem Carstairs.

message 8: by johanna (jo) (new)

johanna (jo) (johannad_m) Don't forget to post a question!

Lucinda, I would jump into The Hobbit, because Middle Earth is amazing, and I would love to meet all the characters. :)

If you had to read one book, over and over until you died, what book would you choose?

The fault in our stars!

If you could own a doll of any fictional character you wanted, which one would you choose?

message 10: by Booknut, Head Moderator (new)

Booknut 101 (booknut101) | 4592 comments Mod
Will Herondale - with a top-hat...and the Welsh dragon tattoo! I'd have to find a Tessa doll too, so he wouldn't be alone :)

Which character in/on Pretty Little Liars would you want to be and why?

message 11: by Zohal, Co-Moderator (new)

Zohal | 1418 comments Mod
I would want to be Spencer. She is incredibly smart and she doesn't act like she is perfect. She doesn't fail to lead and is a very strong person. I would <3 to be her.

Q) If you could have any fictional character as part of your family who would you have?

Booknut 101 (booknut101) | 4592 comments Mod
Fred and George Weasley - 1.) they're together because they're inseparable, 2.) I couldn't choose just one, and 3.) having elder twin brothers would be so cool...'specially these two!

Q: If you could have one superpower in the world, what would it be?

message 13: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 291 comments Telepathy. I've been thinking about that question for a while, and I think I would choose that for two reasons, a) I'd be able to connect with people more easily and b) I'd make all my GR friends fall into a physic dream so we can have an adventure together!

Q: What's your favourite ship, and why?

message 14: by Zohal, Co-Moderator (new)

Zohal | 1418 comments Mod
A) Sydney and Adrian from BloodLines. They're just so perfect for each other. Like two jigsaw pieces. And Adrian would do anything for Sydney.

Q) If money weren't a problem, what would you want to accomplish in life?

If money was not a problem, i would love to buy my own horse! I have shared (1/2 owned) and ridden other peoples for years and so it would be my dream to own one....they are expensive :)

Q). If you could meet any author, who would it be?

message 16: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 291 comments Jackie French. She isn't my favourite author, but I keep coming back to her wonderful stories. I think she's an amazing writer :)

Q) What book would you most like a signed copy of?

message 17: by talltyrion (new)

talltyrion | 708 comments A) Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare, probably. I want to see her in person and thank her profusely, and then shout at her and run out.

Q) If you could change time and make it so one series was never written, which would you choose?

message 18: by Nenia (new)

Nenia Campbell (neniacampbell) | 97 comments Fifty Shades of Grey. I'm so tired of that book- its spin-offs, its author, its fangirls, and the rampant P2Ping it has spurred.

If you could make any lesser-known book into a movie, which would you pick and why?

message 19: by Booknut, Head Moderator (new)

Booknut 101 (booknut101) | 4592 comments Mod
Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith.

Because it is amazing, has a detailed, twisting and addictive plot, a colourful cast of characters and I would love to see who they'd cast as Vidanric :)

Q: If you could beg one author to make more books in a series, who would it be, what is their series and why?

message 20: by Nenia (new)

Nenia Campbell (neniacampbell) | 97 comments S.D. Tower, because she has only written one book and it was awesome and apparently it's a pseudonym AND I DON'T KNOW HER REAL NAME. D: D: D:

What animal would you have as a pet barring restrictions such as reality, cost, maintenance, and temperament?

message 21: by Booknut, Head Moderator (new)

Booknut 101 (booknut101) | 4592 comments Mod
A mini hedgehog. Or two. Or three. Or TWENTY!!

Q: If you could star in one movie, what would it be and why?

message 22: by Nenia (new)

Nenia Campbell (neniacampbell) | 97 comments A: I'd want to be Belle in a live action B&B. I think I'd be good in that role.

Q: What country have you always wanted to visit?

message 23: by Aurora, Co-Moderator (last edited Jul 07, 2013 07:13PM) (new)

Aurora | 994 comments Mod
A: Afghanistan. It's the country my parent's were born. They migrated here to escape the war but I've always wondered what exactly it was like. My parent's keep telling me stories of their life there and my dad always says that the fruit there is 100x better than here in Australia. But I want to experience these things first-hand.
Hopefully the war will die down sometime soon so I can go. :(

@Booknut
description Oh my gosh. I can't stop looking at these now.

Oh my gosh! I NEVER REALISED HOW CUTE HEDGEHOGS ARE! :P
Same here. I'd really like to visit Afghanistan. My dad tells the exact same stories about the fruit being way better there. Everytime my dad goes on google maps he just has to show me what Afghanistan used to look like. It's actually quite beautiful.

A) If I could build my dream home anywhere, I'd probably choose Russia. I don't know it just sounds so cool to have a house in Russia.

Q) What was your favourite show growing up and why?

message 25: by Aurora, Co-Moderator (last edited Jul 07, 2013 06:25PM) (new)

Aurora | 994 comments Mod
A: I loved watching Where's Wally. The adventures Wally used to find himself on were so wacky and awesome at the same time. Woof the dog was my favourite character back then because I loved animals(and still do!). And Oswald the villian was always screwing up in his quest to steal the magic cane from Wally.
When I was re-watching the episodes I found a new love for the show because there were so many jokes and references that I didn't catch when I was younger. It was amazing how they just slipped by and resulted in many, O.O "Woooahhh I can't believe we missed this when we were little!!" moments with my sister.

Q: If you could have any mythical creature as a pet, what would it be?

message 26: by Zohal, Co-Moderator (new)

Zohal | 1418 comments Mod
A) A Hippogriff. They're SO cool! And I've always wanted to fly in the air on a mythical creature. We would be best friends.

Q) Who is your role model in life?

message 27: by Aurora, Co-Moderator (new)

Aurora | 994 comments Mod
A: My role model would have to be my mummabear <3 <3 :D
She's been with me all my life, guiding me and worrying about me to the point where I wasn't allowed to walk to school on my own, even though it was just a few streets away. She's a wonderful woman, balancing the finance, chores, shopping, three kids.. pretty much everything, really.
We do have a bit of a culture and language barrier though. She was born and raised in Afghanistan and the rules and tradition there is very very different. There were some moments where she'd say something and I'd reply, "But we're not in Afghanistan - we're here, in Australia." And since she's been very busy my whole life, I hadn't had much of a chance to learn their language..
Even though we have our differences and occasionally fights, she's been an amazing mother to me, and I'd love to be like her when I'm older.

Q: If you could go back in time and re-read a book for the first time, which book would it be?

message 28: by Zohal, Co-Moderator (new)

Zohal | 1418 comments Mod
A: The Ghost Child. That book is my life. And I would love to experience it over again. Unfortunately because it was published in the 90's and didn't get much publicity there's not many copies left. AND I REALLY WANT ONE! I want to re-read that book. I only ever read it a couple of times before I had to return it to my primary school library.

Q) If you were to give the world a speech, what would you seek to inspire them about?

message 29: by L (new)

L | 1252 comments I would give an inspirational speech about reaching for your dreams, whatever they may be, and that anything is possible!

Q). What would you spend your time doing on an ideal weekend?

message 30: by johanna (jo) (new)

johanna (jo) (johannad_m) Reading, writing, chatting online to friends, drinking hot chocolate, playing with cats, watching films, looking up film trivia . . . Preferably not all at once ;)

Q: If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?

message 31: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 291 comments I would buy a big house, decorate it, then invite all my Goodreads friends to come over (and pay for their plane tickets) Oh, and I'd also go to Scotland.

Q) What's your favourite breakfast?

message 32: by Zohal, Co-Moderator (last edited Jul 08, 2013 04:03AM) (new)

Zohal | 1418 comments Mod
A) Pancakes with Maple Syrup. Mostly because I rarely have them, so when I do I can indulge in it. :) I make them from scratch because I can't stand the ready-made mix you get from the super-markets.

Q) If you could go back in time and alter a moment in your life, what moment would it be?

message 33: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 291 comments Quite a lot of things. Can't really pick one :)

Q) What's your favourite fandom?

message 34: by Zohal, Co-Moderator (new)

Zohal | 1418 comments Mod

Q) What would be one of your most embarrassing moments in life?

message 35: by L (new)

L | 1252 comments Oh, dear! When i had to borrow a friends cream Jhodpurs for riding and i was just swinging my leg into the saddle when they split ~ revealing my undergarments!! That has to be the most embarrasing thing i can think of.

Q). If you could become a character in a book for one day, whom would it be and why?

message 36: by Zee (new)

Zee (illeGAL-Zee) | 34 comments A) I'd like to be Deuce of Enclave (by Ann Aguirre! :) she's cool. one of my favorite characters. I'd always liked to learn how to use knives like that. I dunno what for, it just seems like fun. :D

Q) if you're stuck in an island and is given a wish to have a book in an instant, what would you wish for? :)

message 37: by A. (new)

A. (ahartleyscribbles) | 173 comments A) That's like asking what your fave book is! Hmm...I'd probably ask for a notebook rather than an actual book. I could create my own stories and create a huge amount of them that way. I couldn't live with just one book! But if I had to it would probably be Journey to Enchantment by Patricia Veryan.

Q) If you could meet any historical figure, who would it be and why?

message 38: by Zohal, Co-Moderator (new)

Zohal | 1418 comments Mod
A) Winston Churchill. I would love to see him in action as Prime minister and get a feel of his personality and just how dedicated he is as Prime Minister.

Q) Do you prefer a large group of friends or a small group of close friends?

message 39: by Aurora, Co-Moderator (new)

Aurora | 994 comments Mod
A: Both. I usually become friends with heaps of people, talk to them a lot, get a close feel for their personality. Then I can decide who is the easiest to talk to and decide on my close friends afterwards. Having heaps of friends also saves me from the awkwardness of a new class - I always have at least one person to chat to.

Q: Do you prefer the top bunk of a bed or the bottom bunk?

message 40: by Booknut, Head Moderator (last edited Jul 08, 2013 07:57PM) (new)

Booknut 101 (booknut101) | 4592 comments Mod
Bottom. Less chance of falling off and breaking something :)

Q: Favourite kind of juice and why?

message 41: by Zohal, Co-Moderator (new)

A: homemade orange juice!

Q) favourite ice-cream flavour?

message 42: by Booknut, Head Moderator (new)

Booknut 101 (booknut101) | 4592 comments Mod
Choc-chip cookie dough!

Q: If you could have a totem animal, what would it be and why?

message 43: by Zohal, Co-Moderator (last edited Jul 08, 2013 11:06PM) (new)

Zohal | 1418 comments Mod
A) I would have a Panda. They're so adorable and it represents my personality, or who I aspire to be. Cute and Cuddly!

Q) If you had to live by one quote, which quote would it be?

message 44: by L (new)

L | 1252 comments It does not do to dwell on dreams, and forget to live - quote. Albus Dumbledore.

Q). Can you remember what you did on your 13th Birthday?

message 45: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 291 comments Yeah. I had a Hunger Games themed party. It was really fun :) We played a couple of games, with 'poison balls' and tags, then we made mockingjay pins and district tokens, and then we watched the movie, and after that we had a 'Capitol Feast', complete with a nightlock (blueberry) cheesecake! It was a ton of fun. I'm not even a huge HG fan, it was just a great idea. And I can remember all this because I am thirteen XD

Q) If you had a choice between a laptop or a tablet, which would you choose?

message 46: by johanna (jo) (new)

johanna (jo) (johannad_m) A) Laptop. Laptops are awesome. I have a very trusty (and hardy) Toshiba laptop, which has survived numerous drops on the floor (don't ask). I doubt a tablet would last very long with me ;)

Q) If you had the choice to live in one fictional place for the rest of your life, where would you go?

message 47: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 291 comments Middle earth. No explanation needed.

Q) Would you rather live in a old, furnished castle or an expensive modern house?

message 48: by johanna (jo) (new)

johanna (jo) (johannad_m) I should have known:)

Old, furnished castle, with wireless internet ;)

If you could meet one fictional character, who would you meet?

message 49: by Leyah (new)

Leyah (serferrant) | 291 comments ... Frodo... Oh, I'm too obsessed. It's only been a week... But Frodo's just so amazing!

Q) Do you prefer animations or real-lifey kind of things? (that went well...)

message 50: by johanna (jo) (new)

johanna (jo) (johannad_m) I get you xD. I think.

I prefer real live acting. I have a hobby of going out and researching the actors later ...

Not that I can't do that with voice-acted films, but it's a whole lot of fun recognising actors you've seen halfway through.

I have nothing against animations, of course, but real, live, acted films make you feel more like you're really there. You don't feel so weird shouting at acted characters than when you're shouting at an animated object ... Plus, actors are just plain awesome, and they do such a good job.

How has your life been different since you joined Goodreads?
