I'd be a bookworm/bluestocking spinster. That's so me in real life. I think I am more of an Amanda Quick-type heroine than a Julie Garwood heroine, although I love them.
I could see me with a scarred, slightly older hero who is a bit cynical, but deep down believes in true love. Just needs to meet the right woman.
Since I love westerns, I would love the idea of being in the Old West, although being black would be an issue...Maybe a steampunk/alternate history West....
Or a Victorian setting too.

I'd probably be a shy wallflower, naive with stars in my eyes, easily taken advantage of. A bit klutzy at times and nose in a book whenever possible. But those silly romance books more so than a book of substance. I would believe in love but have no idea about how to find a guy to fall in love with. A great listener because I rarely open my mouth to say much. Some would think me stuck up but those who know me know that's not true. Those fortunate to get to know me would find me to be quite charming with a sarcastic sense of humor, even known to do a few pranks on close family members or friends. Probably set in Regency or Victorian era.
This is written in a hurry so I may come back with something better later ☺

I'd be perfectly agreeable outwardly, but for those who knew me better, I'd be outspoken with my beliefs verging on difficult. I'd think King Richard was irresponsible for spending so much on war (as far as the treasury and loss of life). I'd be angry so much was paid for his ransom when he got himself captured. Of course I couldn't share this with anyone except close confidants.
The way women were treated would upset me greatly, and I'd probably be most attracted to someone who saw me as an equal.

Probably what I would have been when I was younger. As I got older, definitely a bluestocking with my head perpetually in a book. I don't know if I would have been that marriage-minded. Too much loss of independence, so long as you have some sort of security as far as family and money. If not, then marriage would be the best option. Marriage for love, even better.

I could see me as that, although with a book in my hand at all times, if not turning down engagements to stay home and read (which I actually do). :)

LOL, Lady D, I chose to use what I was like when I was young in my teens and early 20s. Me now is different.
Me today would be more outspoken and more aware of what makes me happy and satisfied. More confident of me being me. Might be good for a western. Strong, older woman who knows what she wants and not afraid to go after it.

I like the sound of that, Pamela. I could see myself as a female rancher who can take care of herself.

Or, if I go by my younger self, then I'd like to be in the Regency or Victorian era. I'd like to go to the balls, and house parties, and the fun things in the city like rides in the park and the theater and museum. I'd be wealthy enough to have servants and stuff, but not be like a duke's daughter or anything that high ranking. Just the daughter of a minor title. Would eventually marry an experienced, worldly man, perhaps one who works for the Crown or something that requires travel, and we'd go round the world, sailing on ships, and train too if we're in the Victorian. We'd go to exotic locales, and he would dote on me... ha! Sounds good. :)
With the wild west theme, I keep thinking of Mrs Barkley of The Big Valley,a TV show from the 1960s. A strong woman!
