I am going to nominate Before We Were Free by Julia Alvarez and Someone Named Eva by Joan M. Wolf. Both are excellent books! I might come back with another nomination if no one else nominates!
I'd also like to nominate Mutiny's Daughter by Ann Rinaldi. That is my last nomination. Now some of you will have to nominate books!

Here are a few guidelines that I have
Since we don't have many members, I am not going to restrict you to only nominating one book. However, I would like for everyone to nominate three books at the maximum.
If you are only nominating one book (which is fine) then it cannot be your own. If you are nominating two or three books, then I am fine with you nominating your own.
All nominations must be young adult. No 18+ content. If you are not sure, then play it safe and don't nominate it! If it is a book that you really want to see as a group read, then message me. There's a chance that I might have read it and would approve it for you.
I know that technically historical fiction takes place 50 years ago at least, but I am fine with you nominating anything that has historical value, even if it is set a bit closer to present day.
Keep in mind, though, that I am only in charge of historical and realistic nominations. If you want to nominate a fantasy book, make sure that you are following any rules Ms. Jackie has implemented.
Let's get started!
