Slammed discussion

I haven't read this series yet, it's been on my reading list for a while and I'm just curious to know if it's anything like Barely Breathing, Reason to Breath and Out of Breath.

I've read both and don't think they are really alike other than it being a romance. I loved all the Slammed books. And you really don't have to read all three books (Slammed, Point of Retreat, This Girl) to get the story, just Slammed. Both series made me cry though, LOL.

The two series don't really share anything in common, but i loved both of them. I agree with Lynn, the only actual similarity is that they are both romance books, but i really fell in love with the characters in both series. Slammed is a GREAT book, amd i highly recommend that you read it! I loved how Colleen Hoover incorporated poetry into it because it really made the story unique. :)

Gloria - not sure which I prefer as they were different. Slammed made me want to read Point of Retreat and This Girl, but you didn't have to, where the breathing series, well, each book had those awful cliffhangers, LOL. I think I went crazy afer Barely Breathing!! And I agree with Jenna, I really like Colleen Hoovers books... I read Hopeless first, and then ended up with the Slammed series.

I must have read something else, for whatever reason, I thought the two shared the same type of story line and cliffhangers, (which I really disliked in the Breathing Series).

I'm happy to hear that I don't have to read them in order, that's helpful

Yeah, the good thing about Slammed is that there aren't cliffhangers at the end of the book, thank goodness! That was torture in The Breathing Series! :(

Gloria - You do have to read Slammed first, they just aren't cliffhangers. Point of Retreat is a continuation of the story from Slammed, but it isn't like you have to read it to get an ending! This Girl is really Slammed and Point of Retreat from a different POV (the boys). I loved This Girl, but not everyone likes to read the same story from a different perspective, it depends on the person.

That's for the clarification.....I do love having alternate POVs, really gives me the full picture of what everyone is thinking

It's better than Breathing series, then again I did not like the breathing series. But as far as storyline goes there is no comparing. They discuss different issues.

I love the series and looking forward for "This Girl" to be available as a book in UK. I fell in love with this book. So light and really inspires through many wise quotes and sayings.
Both book are different but they are the whole story of a couple so definitely you should read Slammed first then Point of Retreat.

i preferred the breathing series, slammed was too typical...will cooper is too good to be true. i mean seriously a hot guy not having sex until after marriage? slammed was like a watered down version of aria and ezra from pretty little liars
