Pakistani Readers discussion

Hi everyone,

sorry for the delay,first this thing wasn't that simple as i had thought n second my working hours are drastically reduced in ramzan.

i have list of all the interested members, i n @sairah working on it and we'll be post the name of shortlisted members on this thread around 8pm.

then the shortlisted members will address public, or something like that.... n we will also decide few thing regarding the polling :)

We are down to four names, which are following :)


1. Maira
2. Rao
3. Sohaib
4. Zenab ( Winner )

Polling will start from Wednesday, n will continue for a day.

Now, whom should we vote for.
i would request candidates for share their thoughts,:)

Members my name is Sohaib Azhar... I am doing Chartered Accountancy and am currently doing my articles from Islamabad... I am one of the people who joined the the goodreads and was one of the first few active members of Pakistani Readers

Well not gonna say much more than what have already said... but with me as moderators u will find more emphasis on systwmatic running of things... I am not forceful but i believe that with love and setting oneself as example things run more smoothly...

I feel highly esteemed to be shortlisted among such fine candidates however I am not a very frequent user and I have recently joined Pakistani Reader but I thanks Faheem and Sairah for honouring me.

Now on to the campaigning... I'm not entirely sure what my duties as Mod. would be, but whatever they might be, ill try my best :-D

I am a stay at home mommy of three, so I think i've got lots of moderating experience. I can lay down the law if need be. I am pretty sure there won't be any need here though! Still you are all in for mama Z!

This 'speech' is a little delayed because my little two year fractured his leg :/ (see how I worked in the sympathy vote there!)

Now on to the real stuff, all the funnies aside, we all are active participants and have known each other for a while now. So let the previous experience with all four of us be your guiding light.

Ask any questions that might help you decide.

okay. since every one is really up for a heart to heart, well then here goes story of my life.....

iam an 18 year old girl, who is currently studying English literature. my family is very backward and is not in the favour of me further studying but me being me, i fought will all my being for my right of education against my grandfather's will and basically lived most part of my fsc at my uncles house because of it.
i loved reading since i was a child and kept my passion for it and followed it through by now making it a profession.
iam a very passionate person and jab kuch karnne ki thaan li woh kar ka dihatti hun.
i hope you guys get what iam saying here. it was very hard for me to do so.
anyway. i will be honoured and very grateful if you vote for me as you future moderator.
