Raquel one word. compelling. once u start the first book-u just cant stop urself from devouring the second ( and third and fouth) i like the way Meyer surprised you (like when bella gets preg or when Jacob imprints on Renesme)
i thing Harry P and Twilight are as diff as ketcup and pickles. in other words---worlds apart.

korrinamoe People say Harry Potter is stupid or Twilight sucks. But they both have pros and cons.
Twilight: I thought it was rather disappointing for a first book. In the book she says how Edward is perfect, but I don't think there can really be a perfect. Someone might think that is perfect while another person will think differently. The book was okay, but I couldn't say that it was anything close to good or amazing.
New Moon: People would say that New Moon was boring and they didn't like the book because Jacob was in it more, but they don't try to put their feet in his shoes. They don't understand how Jacob feels about Bella. I like how we get to understand Jacob more. It's also cool how Bella goes all the way to save Edward and ends up meeting the Volturi.

I would write more about what I think, but I have to do something. Be back later~~

Ya, pretty much. But about what you wrote about Twilight, I think Edward was perfect from everyone's point of view. He's like the ultimate guy, and Meyer left some room for the imagination.
New Moon is actually kind of boring once Jacob comes into the story.
New Moon summed up (SPOILERS):
1. Edward leaves
2. Bella's depressed
3. Bella starts doing dangerous stuff with Jacob
4. Edward tries to kill himself
5. Alice and Bella save Edward
6. Something with the Volturi

It is actually a pretty boring book, in my opinion. But I really like Alice so the parts with her are good.

i know!!
i always liked the name edward, and decided I would name a boy edward if i every had one, but not anymore!! everyone would be like? OMG, after twilight right??
but no, not after twilight.
but we must all admit, the book was WAY better than the MOVIE

message 7: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) haha, I kinda dislike the book... mostly because I dislike the characters...

In the whole series though, the best part was the chunk in the middle of breaking dawn. I thought it was funny how the style totally changed when it switched to Jacob's POV.

Anony-miss a-non-y-miss | 37 comments I've only read a few Harry Potter books, and I enjoyed them quite a bit.

Twilight . . *sigh* Where do I start? Annoying characters, dragg-ish plots, waste of time. I was very close to quitting New Moon and Breaking Dawn.

And the sad thing is that Twilight is attracting some people from a younger audience - I saw a 9-year-old the other day sitting at a park bench with "Breaking Dawn" in her hands. (Of course, parents can let their children read anything, but it still scares me a bit to see kids reading books about *clears throat*)

I admit, I liked Twilight a few months ago. I wasn't all crazy about it, but I enjoyed it for a bit. But after awhile, it grew old, and the non-stop chit-chat about it drove me insane. Different opinions. Non-stop "Jacob is hot" and "I want Edward to bite me!" throughout media, throughout school.

Though I must admit, as a Ant-Twilight Fan, I have one good outcome from the short-lived phase. In the back of the book, Meyer tells about the amazing and legendary band Muse. I went onto YouTube and listening to some of their songs and explored further. Muse is still a favorite band of mine today.

Sorry about the rant.

9 is a little young, as they bascially have sex and Bella is very descriptive about her period being missing. >.>

Muse is epic.

message 10: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) Erm, yeah. 9 is waaay to young in my opinion. I read that book when I was fourteen... and even that was kind of odd...

And the fact is, a nine-year-old should be learning about sex from their parents or from a sex-ed class, NOT a fictional book. Besides, a nine-year-old hasn't ever been able to find out about a real romance, and the book fills their heads with false ideas about love.

message 11: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sfreeves) Eh.... What bugs me about Twilight is that everyone is reading it now, and the fanbase is very annoying. I want to smack all of these idiots who rave about Twilight and are sick enough to create things like this: (http://www.twifans.com/group/cullenism)
and squeal something childish along the lines of "I liked it back in 2006 in the fall when it came out and wasn't popular! I liked it first!!!!"
Anyway, I loved Twilight until these stupid fangirls took over a year or two ago and Twilight was suddenly everywhere.
*breathes deeply*
Anyway, don't really care about it anymore as much, although TwiGuy is funny.

Tetsu (Doki Doki ~♥) (chintotheexperiment) Hmm...now I really understand why New Moon is my friends favorite, Jacob Fan all the way!
Eclipes though...and Breaking Dawn?! She stole titles I was once thinking about...>.>
Though Twilight was the one I read the most in, since it was easier and then one moment...I was wondering how Bella changed. She makes me hate my age, that's for sure and I was almost sixteen when I tried reading it. >-< Why is it people love it...it was meh, until people started attacking me with questions about it and most shunned me for my answer: I just dislike Bella's character and think Edward was a pedo/stalker. That's all...
