Theme Challenges are challenges which runs for two months at a time. Everyone is welcome to take part by reading books that relate to the monthly theme (it is not mandatory). It can be anything from the sea to books set in Australia. There will be threads set up where you can post what books you have read for the theme 'challenge' :-)

Leslie | 16369 comments For 2014, we have decided to change the Theme Challenges a bit. There will be 12 themes which are related to a holiday or event that occurs in each month. However, you may choose to read books for any of the themes at any point in the year - the monthly format is optional. For example, I am currently reading War and Peace, which I will count in the Cinco de Mayo theme.

I will be setting up individual threads for each of the 12 themes, where people can list their books or exchange ideas. I hope that you will enjoy participating in these!

Shirley | 4177 comments We've decided to continue with three of these theme challenges as a group for 2015 - New Starts, Translated Works and Low Vision Awareness. I will archive the other theme challenge threads but not close them for comments so that they can be added to if you so wish. You are, of course, welcome to incorporate the other theme challenges into your own personal challenges for 2015.
