Approved for Option A:

Approved for Option B:

It certainly reflects my usual feeling!
for Option B:
by Francesco Marciuliano
would this work? Its got books on the cover and i have never read anything by Francesco Marciuliano

would this work? Its got books on the cover and i have never read anything by Francesco Marciuliano

If so does this one work

That works great! :)

For my definition of a skyline, I'm saying it has to be a group/row of buildings, defined against the sky. From that cover it looks like it's just one building (correct me if I'm wrong!) so I'm going to have to say no to that cover.

If so does this one work

Yes, pseudonyms work! And that cover works.
(I just read that book a couple of weeks ago... I'll be interested to see if you like it!)

This Book Is Overdue!: How Librarians and Cybrarians Can Save Us All?"
Yes! That can work for Option B either as the librarian as the main character, or the cover option, since there are books on the cover.
I might have to read that one myself. :)

The Bourne Identity looks like it is more than one building, so that works for me! And the Infernal Devices works as well!

Ya, that works! It's big enough that you can tell it's a skyline. :)

I only know it from its description, and also its only an ebook, so I need it approved on both counts.

but ... it won't work for me since I already read The Highest Tide by the author.

Dana, that looks like it will work! I approve!

but ... it won't work for me since I already read The Highest Tide by the author."
Janet, thanks for the suggestion, that looks great!

That would work for the cover option for Option B, as for the librarian as a main character what I can tell from the description is that the main character is the son of a book seller (someone correct me if I'm wrong! I haven't read this book before!) so that wouldn't work. But the book works for the cover option!

That's correct, Jen. I've read the book and I can tell you that while the book is about books, the librarian is only a secondary character. The main character is a writer and works in a book store.

Will this work for option b?

The main character is a the library director (so I'm assuming she must have been a librarian at some point?). The cover also contains a book -- though at first glance, it might not look like a book. :)

Will this work for option b?

The main character is ..."
Yes! I definitely count a director of a library as a librarian. :) And it also works for the cover option.

Will this work for option b? [bookcover:Books Can Be Deceiving..."
Thanks! :D

Wow, sorry it took so long to reply... grad school is kicking my butt! Yes, that is a great one for a skyline!

But I just realized I can't use it since it I just read the first book in the series by the same author , LOL.

But I just realized I can't use it since it I just read the first book in the series by the same author , LOL."
Oh, too bad! But yes, this would work for Option A!

Yes, both of those will be fine!

Oo, this is a tricky one. I'm going back to my original definition of a group/row of buildings defined against the sky, and this one I can't tell at the horizon if there are buildings or not. There are a couple of buildings that are defined against the sky, but they're not grouped together, so I'm going to have to say no for this one.

I just made the move to New York State to go to graduate school, so I decided to base my task around my move! Since I moved to a NEW place that I've never been, please read a book by a NEW author that you've never read. Fiction or non-fiction may be used for any option.
REQUIRED: Please state in your post that the author is new to you.
Choose one option and read one book from that option.
REQUIRED: If using a cover option, please include the cover in your post.
Option A: Read a book set in New York State OR a book that has a skyline on the cover. REQUIRED: If the setting is not clear from the Goodreads description, please tell how it fits the option.
Examples for cover option:.
Option B: I am going to graduate school for Library Science. For this option, read a book where the main character is a librarian OR a book that has one or more books on the cover. This list may give you some ideas: Books About Librarians
Option C: I am going to Syracuse University, which is known for their basketball team. (Go Orangemen!) For this option, either read a book where the main character is an athlete, OR a book that has one or more sports balls on the cover.
