And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini
I wish this book had a little more depth to it. Its like a collection of so many different stories that are very loosely connected to each other. I expected to read a lot more about Abdullah and Pari and their re-union but there was hardly any towards the end. It felt like the author was just skimming the water with every story, leaving it to the imagination of the reader... I prefer reading someone elses imagination!
3/5 Stars

Only Time Will TellbyJeffrey Archer
I started this book thinking.. 'What better combination than Jeffrey Archer and a book series!' Have to admit, I have read better. Definitely not one of my favourite Jeffrey Archer books.

In this instance, I have started reading novels from authors I swore by when I was younger; now I begin to find them shallow and lacking intelligent matter.
quite a spirit dampener :(
Yes. It is expected. Archer was one of my favorites in my late teens. Nowadays I can't abide his books.
Sometimes it happens the other way round too.

And yes, it is natural. The way we feel about a book depends a lot on the time and the mood we are when we read.. We are all not really the same persons we were ten years ago, so it is only inevitable that we feel differently about some books when we read them again.. :)

Unfinished BusinessbyNora Roberts
I started this book as The Throwaway Childrenwas getting boring beyond measure! I needed something light and breezy and this book was just that! Could have finished it in a day if it wasnt for other commitments!

The Throwaway ChildrenbyDiney Costeloe
I would have given this book a mere 2 stars if it wasnt for the almost happy ending... Phew! finished this book with a lot of difficulty. I did not particularly enjoy it.

Game of SconesbySamantha Tonge
Loved the book for all the scone making tips! The romance in the book was insipid but was full of subtle humour and good faith.

OutlanderbyDiana Gabaldon
I finally finished this mammoth of a read!! ok I only read on my way to work.. but whatever!
The book by itself was gripping, well written but at the end of it, you tend to wonder.. what was the plot at the end of all the twists and turns!?

Btw, are you going to read 43 more books in the remainder of 2015? o.O
I hope you have your time-turner ready!
I hope you have your time-turner ready!

tbh the fact that I always have something to read, thanks to my kindle is quite satisfying
Ditto, Hazel. a cozy feeling, knowing that one won't starve for reading material.
This time my goal was a modest century. >_<

The Martian by Andy Weir
No words to describe how much I loved this one ! The best book Ive read in a long long time!
I loved the movie too but the book is way better.

The Royal We by Heather Cocks
A fun read about the drama behind a royal wedding! The Nick and Bex love story was cute, it started off really well but towards the end it turned out to be a one sided cranky monologue!
On the upside: finished 10 books this year! Now going to concentrate on the festivities going on around me! See you in 2016 Goodreads!

The Next Always by Nora Roberts
This book started off so well.. finished about 75% in a day and then it just slacked off. Typcal NR storyline with a ghost twist and a stalker!

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Very lovely book. Subtle undertone and the innocence of a six year old had my attention captured. Atticus Finch is now my all time favourite character!! :)
