Marc | 40 comments Sometimes I get terribly bored between meetings at work, so figured I might as well do something both constructive and entertaining.

So heres how it works, you ask a question. I'll answer it the best I can from a guy's perspective. Not all of it will be my view, but the view I know that most men have on the subject.

I'll try to answer them when I can, but do me one little favor, lets keep it PG13 =P

Feel free to have fun with this, any random/silly question will do

Which twilight girl would you date, had both of you been single?

Marc | 40 comments Melzz wrote: "Which twilight girl would you date, had both of you been single?"

Personally its hard for me to imagine that, but ill list some qualities of each I like and dislike

Edit: I cant believe I forgot about Esme

Rosalie seems like a family girl, she wants nothing more than a little family of her own. I'm a family guy myself. However she is kind of vain.

Alice has a good sense of humor, bright and cheerful. I enjoy being around people that are uplifting like that. However as she can tell the future it would be near impossible to suprise her, and I like giving suprises.

Bella is kind, and conciderate. She has alot of qualities I look for. However she is pretty accident prone, and I can't juggle full size vans.

Esme is loving, would do anything for her family. However she reminds me too much of my mother.

So I guess of the 4 id be leaning more towards Alice.

Well, which twilight girl is one you would never consider dating?

Forgot to ask if this included every girl in the series. If it did, that would have been ALOT of comparing, and I ramble enough as it is =P

Anyway, if you count every girl then I'd have to say Jessica. She is out for herself, and no one else. Even without the help of Midnight Sun, I didn't really like her.

Big Mike | 2 comments hey jessics is not that bad. Rose was worse than she was.

Rose I could kind of understand to a point. Her redeeming quality in my eyes is that she would do anything for Renesmee.

Dont we all know a Jessica at some point in our lives? I know 3... *shudder*

What was your motivation for reading the twilight series, when it mostly attracts girls?

message 10: by Marc (new)

Marc | 40 comments Britty wrote: "What was your motivation for reading the twilight series, when it mostly attracts girls?"

My fiance had just finished reading them, and suggested it to me. I was pretty skeptical at first. The skepticism lasted about 4 pages lol

because this is random, what would you make of a love note? it's the end of school so I figured I'd write a song for my crush, I'm good at that kind of stuff, and putt it in his locker before lunch.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

What do you do for work? I have four older brothers, WAY older-the youngest is 7 years older, and I could never talk to them about things. It's pretty cool.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Aww Jane you leave him notes? You sound like a romantic. You should join my group Romance Society, its for us romantics. I'm sure he loves those notes.

Me personally I've never received one, was always the one to give them. Even a guy wants to know that he is appreciated, so i'd love to get them.

You can also see one I've written, under my writings. It's in freestyle form though

I work in Project Management for a world wide supplier of automated transit systems (Those trams you see in airports). I also write as a hobby, maybe one day I'll send out my manuscript to see if I can get published

What did you most enjoy about reading these books??
Who do you like more- Edward or Jacob - even though you're a guy- who do you think is better for Bella?

Marc | 40 comments Britty wrote: "What did you most enjoy about reading these books??

It was interesting to get an inside look, even if it's inside the head of a fictional woman's head, of how some women might view relationships.

I also enjoyed the characters personallities and how they fit together. Each one so different, but yet intertwined with each other.

As for the Edward Vs Jacob question: That's a hard question to answer, as both cared deeply for her. Both willing to die to protect her, but I was always more partial to Edward, since Jacob's approach was way more immature. Forcing a kiss on someone is a big no in my book.

Hope that was clear, I tend to ramble lol

Feel free to keep them coming, everyone is welcome to ask. I really enjoy answering these questions, most of which I've never even thought about till then.

What do guys do when a girl cries?

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

What do guys want girls to look like? Do they want the super-skinny look? What do you actually talk about?

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Morgen wrote: "What do guys want girls to look like? Do they want the super-skinny look? What do you actually talk about?"

Morgen, I'm sure every guy is different. Do all us girls like the same type of guys? I dont think so.

message 26: by Marc (new)

Marc | 40 comments Jane- wrote: "What do guys do when a girl cries? "

A guy will usually only do the first of the following if they know the girl, otherwise automatically to the second.

A good guy will comfort a girl they are close with (friends, etc.)

A bad one will ignore, or they just do not know them and do not feel like getting hurt that evening.

Marc | 40 comments Morgen wrote: "What do guys want girls to look like? Do they want the super-skinny look? What do you actually talk about?"

With the onset of hollywood idolization of actors/actresses, people, both men and women, tend to get a wrong impression, of what a women has to look like to be attractive. Like Melzz said, each man has a particular attraction qualities that they look for.

Some men only like women who are as close to hollywoods "perfect" as you can get. Other's might like a more athletic body, while other's prefer a curvier girl.

As for what we talk about, in my case I write music, play guitar, and I play video games; so alot of my conversation revolves around that. Generally unless there is a problem going on in a relationship, most men will not talk about it, plus you can only talk about your love interest so much before your friend wants to push you out of the moving car.

Hope that answered your questions

(Edited to give the real credit to the right girl)

What other books come to mind when someone says "what's your favorite book?"

message 29: by Marc (new)

Marc | 40 comments Stephanie wrote: "What other books come to mind when someone says "what's your favorite book?""

I'm a Tolkien fan, so I absolutely loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as The Hobbit.

Also, I know its more of a mystery book, but I really enjoyed Sole Surviver by Dean Koontz.

I am a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy also! Its funny because I'm 33 and my dad gave me the books on tape (not CD) when I turned 11. I just bought my daughter a copy on CD when she turned 11.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Ah, traditions, I like em... :)

message 32: by Marc (last edited Jun 05, 2009 06:52AM) (new)

Marc | 40 comments Gimli was always my favorite character in the books.

Just thinking about it makes me want to re-read the trilogy

"Samwise the stouthearted" (I just like that nickname for some reason) definately a great character. I think Tolkien did a fantastic job with character development.

Oh yeah some of my all time favorite characters...even before the movies =)

Was it hard to read Breaking Dawn, being a guy and all, with the honey moon stuff and all that???

message 37: by Marc (new)

Marc | 40 comments I actually preferred it the way Stephanie did it, seemed more dignified. I probably would have just skipped over parts of it had that scene been more detailed.

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

Edward because they are a better match. The only reason I would want Jacob to win her heart would be to see more of him romantically in the books. :)

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

Sorry I dont understand what your trying to say. What's a didliker?

message 40: by Marc (new)

Marc | 40 comments HorrorChick wrote: "nice. Would you rather jacob or edward won Bella's heart???"

I prefer Edward myself, they made a better match in my opinion.

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

If you post the question in the disliking twilight folder, you'll have Sarah and Grace respond before the week is up. :)
