Great idea for a group, Michael! :)

I love reading and chatting to author s I meet here on goodreads,

I like making new friends and I also adore cats, so most people online call me Cat as a short of my name. :))))))
Feel welcome to stop by my profile page and say HI!

I'm an author and illustrator as well as an adjunct professor at a local community college. My highly detailed fantasy and science fiction work has appeared in many books, magazines, board games, and collectible card games for such varied publishers as Dell Publishing, Wizards of the Coast, and Atlas Games.
While receiving my MFA in Illustration a few years ago, my instructors reviewed my written work and strongly suggested that I combine my writing ability with my talent as an illustrator to chart my own path. To check out all this stuff, artwork, novel, etc... feel free to stop by my webite: http://davidmonette.com/ Thanks a bunch!David Monette

I got your facebook page link earlier today too, thank you. I'm going to have to add "The Hand that Feeds" to my current overflowing to-read pile, just my genre. Anyway, I'm at www.thebeautifuldeath.com, all book info and other junk's there.

David, I went to your site as well, your illustrations are brilliant, but I'm going to get your book in paper rather than a kindle book because of the pictures. So it'll have to be next week as I've bought to many this week!

My first book, Four From Below, is a collection of horror short stories. It is available on Kindle and in paperback, both through Amazon and CreateSpace. (Although I prefer CreateSpace because I have a larger profit when paperbacks are purchased there.)
Kindle: tinyurl.com/4fbelow
Amazon: tinyurl.com/fourfb
CreateSpace: tinyurl.com/4fromb

Thanks Mike, much appreciated! I too get out there and promo people, even when I don't represent them! I'm a big believer in the indie author scene.

Haha. Yep. ;)

Michael wrote: "Daniel wrote: "My name is Daniel P. Coffman. I am an at-home dad to two Autistic boys, whom I also homeschool. I've been writing since childhood, but finally decided to pursue publication after my ..."

I'm Alexa Keith. I haven't released anything yet, but I'm working at putting my debut novel out the summer of 2014. It's been a dream of mine to publish one of my stories, and I'm following it. I love to write romance, and have so many characters in my head, I find myself talking to them.
Hmmm, wonder if that's normal. :)
I'm not very good at putting myself "out there". However, I've been told by a few authors and my editor, that I needed to start. So, here I am. :)
Here is link to a story I'm working on-

Would love to hear any feedback, good or bad. Please note- these are before my beta's got their magical hands on it.
Also, here's a link to my author Facebook page-

Please stop by and "like" or leave a post. And, I will do the same for you. :)
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks Michael for giving us indie authors a chance to put ourselves out there, painlessly.
Thanks, Alexa :)

Also, I've begun to develop a web presence through my blog:

Thanks for creating this group Michael :)

Being Indie means doing a lot more self-promotion, but I like having control over every creative detail. It also definitely makes me appreciate my readers/fans more. LOL. Loving it so far.

See you around!

I write fantasy, and my novel, The Grove of the Sun is available for purchase on Amazon. I've always loved writing, ever since I was really young :)

My first book, INFECTED, has been out for a year now, and it looks like I joined at the right time because my second book releases on Thursday.
Feel free to join the event (https://www.goodreads.com/event/show/...) for a chance to win a FREE copy!
I look forward to interacting with all of you here :)

Hello! I'm fairly new to Goodreads and pleased to find this group. After moving around a bit, I've settled (for now) in the western part of the US. I'm an avid reader (fantasy, sci-fi, mysteries, culturally-based stories), though I have much less time to read than I'd like due to a demanding full-time job and my writing.
My story is slightly different to those above. I was heavily into the arts in my school days (music and writing), but an injury abruptly ended my music career. I was young (early 20s) and devastated, so I abandoned the arts for a while. Despite that, my head was always creating stories, which eventually necessitated my journey back into writing.
I have published my first novel. I'll put the link, but no obligation to check it out. For me, I feel like I was lost for years and have finally found my way back to what I was meant to do.

Oh, I should say that my book is fantasy with hint of sci-fi.... or maybe that's the other way around. It doesn't quite fit in one or the other. While I read various genres, my imagination exists in this one.

I am not that new, i am here since hmm october or so :) but i just found this thread so here is all you need to know about me, well not that much: I am 23, i write since i learned to write and that was when i was 7, i always loved books, nowadays Thriller and Lovestories, i read about 210 books(teen and child books not included). And what i love besides reading is writing well i finished 10 stories and due to my mental health problems i never had the energy and the courage to try to be published, but thats my biggest dream!! so i am now much on the net like twitter, FB, YT and try to get known, i have no money at all so it will be hard to self publish but also to be published by a publishing house, you have to sned ur book to them etc. and i am not that good with feeling i am not good enough, anyway enough selfloathing and selfpitty :). I would be very thankful if some of you could take a look at my homepage and my other networks, comment, share, like. thx to all of you and stay true be you, peace

the place looks great. Congrats Michael, and thanks for the effort. :)
I´m Sandra. I write fiction and non fiction. So far I have two novels from the Saga Elearah Chronicles (fantasy), a book with other authors (Into the darkness), and two non fiction books.
I would love to get to know other authors who SP, so we keep the pulse in the industry and help each other.

James.

I just finished my second book in the series (Vampire Princess in Training) which is undergoing the editing process as we speak. I find series are so much to write and read!
Best of luck to you.

My name is A.M. Rycroft. I released my first fantasy/horror novel - Into the Darkness - on Lulu at the end of January, joined Goodreads a couple of weeks ago, and now, I'm trying to connect with other writers and readers on Goodreads.
I'm on Facebook and Twitter (@amrycroftwriter) relatively frequently.

I don't want to just be in a group to just promote things and take off. I really want to connect with people that truly want to network and get to know each other. I hope I have found a good spot.
I'm on Twitter (@dakhartarising), can friend me on Facebook (facebook.com/dakhartarising) or check me out on Amazon.

There's been problems with Earthers and human hangouts have been shut down. Into this mess steps Lory Gato, interstellar gourmet and general good guy. Watch out Lory, good guys finish last!

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am a spoken word poet turned (officially on the page) collected works author from the Capital Region of NY. Just self published my first collection of poems, "Slay! the Dragon presents: Pink Cloud Poetry" in May of this year and will be releasing the Special Edition eBook on August 31st!

From the Amazon Bestselling author of Missing, comes a riveting new psychological thriller.
Tillamook county, Northwest Oregon had been lulled, a slumber gradually trailing the brisk night when an unthinkable tragedy sends a tremor through the district. Blake Campbell an antique storekeeper had been found lacerated in a threadbare wedding dress in the heart of her late husband's home on Miller Avenue.
And four women find themselves tied to the investigation.
Detective Rachel Olson believes it’s a wedding night gone wrong. Criminal law professor Claire Fisher thinks it’s the ex-wife. Psychologist Lisa Patterson is convinced it’s the disturbed son. And District Attorney Regan Sinclair has her money on the governor.
Four perspectives and a killer on the loose.
Miller Avenue Murder

A serial killer leaves a trail of bodies on different planets in the galaxy. An alien detective is sent undercover on a planet he shouldn't be on to try and identify and stop the killer before they kill again.
