Graphic Novel Reading Group discussion

Non super powered characters like batman and Green Arrow (at least current tv version) have martial arts backgrounds -- otherwise they have no chance. But powered characters upon receiving their abilities start fighting immediately. Are there exceptions? Can only think of Wonder Woman but she's from warrior culture so I wouldn't count her.

I post this because even powered characters can get benefits from training in proper techniques, strategy, distance, timing, correct weapons usage, etc.
