Aaron He nodded his acknowledgement, before heading off down the road slowly. He needed to squint pass all the lights the cars were casting. "Here?" he asked, stopping outside what looked to be a grand hotel soon after.

Arthur came back shuffling not long later, carrying a few plastic bags. He rang the doorbell, waiting patiently outside as he squinted down the hall. He thought he saw a shadow pass, but he shrugged the feeling off.

"No problem," he said absently as he went back to retrieve the other goods he had. Whistling, he entered the bedroom, before dropping the bag in disbelief.

Clary pulls her clothes on happily. He was glad Arthur had listened and the clothes were baggy, hiding her figure effectually. She
Combs her hair… kinda… then steps out of the bathroom.

His eyes were twitching with incredulity by the time she came out. "Err... Clary?" he called anxiously.

"Yes Art?" Clary calls back, strolling towards his voice. It sounded like something was wrong....

"How...?" he trailed off, pointing towards the bed as she entered the bedroom.

"It's the only room they had. I'll sleep on the floor." Clary sad once she spots the single bed.

Arthur threw his hands up. "I'm not saying you should sleep somewhere else than on the bed! I'm just asking about the... sleeping arrangements."

Clary sighs "And I'm saying that I will take the floor and you can have the bed." She says, grabbing two pillows and the extra blanket.

"Clary, you know that's not what I mean." He sat on the blanket, preventing her from taking it away.

Clary pouts a little and lets go of the blanket "Fine, what do you mean then?!" She asks, exasperated.

The question hit him as he realised he wasn't quite sure. "Just... I'll sleep on the couch."

"No, I'll take the couch. You paid for the room, so you should have the bed." Clary argues.

"Ah, but I'm the gentleman." He silently admitted that his retort was kinda lame.

Clary gives Arthur a look "That's a lame response. You, Art, are taking the bed no ifs ands or buys about it."

Arthur sighed, before heading to the couch and plopping into it. "I'm so sleepy," he said with a mock yawn. A real yawn claimed him soon after, though. "Good night."

Clary glares "I. Am. Not. Sleeping. On. That. Bed." She says stubbornly.

Arthur turned his head to crack his neck. "Then good luck with sleeping on top of me."

"I will just sleep on the floor." Clary argues, grabbing a blanket and pillow from the bed.

Arthur groaned. "What's so hard with sleeping on the bed?" he asked, staring up at the ceiling. "Do they have nails hidden underneath the covers?"

"You paid for the room Arthur, you need to sleep on the bed!" Clary explains again, laying her blanket on the floor.

"I'll pay for another room if I have to," he warned turning to look her directly in the face.

"This was the only vacant room they had." Clary points out, sitting on the floor.

"Then I'll go to the car and sleep," he shot back.

"Then you just wasted money because I'm not sleeping on the bed." Clary points out.

"I'll put you in-" he stopped midway, realising he was revealing his plan. "Never mind."

"You'll put me in what?" Clary asks. She was growing a little suspicious now.

Arthur averted his gaze back up to the ceiling. "To some 'comfort zones'."

"Comfort zones?" Clary asks, now just plain confused. What did he mean??

"The freaking bed, you..." he struggled for an appropriate insult to use against her.

Clary chuckles "You're not getting me in the bed." She says, determined.

"How would you know that when you're asleep?" he countered.

"I can just stay awake all night." Clary counters, still stubborn.

Arthur snorted. "Then I can simply control you to get into bed now," he said, realising that it was possible as he said it.

Clary grits her teeth "Do not do that Arthur. I trust you a lot, much more than I trust anyone else, and that would break my trust and respect for you."

Arthur groaned. "Just get on the bed. I'll make a deal with you."

Clary puts her hands on her hips "Whats the deal first?" She was glad Arthur hadnt controlled her

Arthur shrugged. "I'll let you pay for the next hotel?" he offered with a grin.

Clary looks at Arthur and considers this "You promise?" She asks.

"Cross my heart and I hope to die," he said, doing the exact action. "Remember, within reason."

Clary smiles "Okay." She slowly moves back towards the bed and returns the blanket ad pillow to their former positions. .

Arthur sat up in the couch, looking slightly dazed. "You're accepting the offer?" he asked, slightly incredulous.

Clary giggles as sit on the bed "Just this once..." She warns

He blinked, slightly puzzled. Of course, he wasn't complaining. "Next hotel," he said before plopping his head back onto the armrest. "Will be the cheapest of all times."

"No it wooont." Clary says in a singsongy voice, slipping under the covers on the bed. She closes her eyes but doesn't fall asleep immediately.

"Mark my words," he said with a lazy grin, before darkness started to overwhelm his sight. "It will."

Clary giggles softly and says "Nope." Then she falls asleep. ((Skip?))

Clary wakes up, on the floor. How had she ended up there?!
