Cassie I found this book absolutly enchanting! I loved the way it tied together both the tale of lass and that of her brother. I always had a decent idea of where the book was going, but I wasn't quite sure how it was going to arrive at the proper ending or what she would encounter along the way.

I'm also curious, I know the book East by Edith Pattou is also based on this tale. What do people think in comparison? I've had it sitting on my shelf for a while, but haven't read it. Now I'd really like to, but of course I'd need to read something inbetween, or I'd spend too much time comparing the two and not valuing East on its own.

My sister loves East, it is one of her favorite books. I haven't read it yet, but it is on my list. I loved the traditional way this book was laid out. It was quite beautiful.

Another REALLY good interpretation of this tale is Ice. East has a totally different interpretation..."

Who wrote "Ice" ?????????????????

Amy I liked Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow, but I thought East was a much more fleshed-out and engaging interpretation. I'm putting Ice on my TBR list :)

Edith Pattou :)

Elaney I personally thought Sun and Moon , Ice and Snow was a better retelling than East. Don't get me wrong, I thought East was a good retelling but the ending was just weird.

Gab My favorite interpretation is Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow. The romantic aspect was best developed in this novel as opposed to East and Ice.
