Hi Lindy,
There are three ways of calculating who wins the Winter Games:
1. Books: the number of books are counted to reach the final score;
2. Pages: the number of pages read by all team members is calculated so that a final score is reached;
3. Points (taken straight from Rachel's post): each book is a total of one point, with the exception of books over 500+ pages they are 2 points. In the events of a tie, points are the last way to see how the team wins, its a sort of just-in-case.
Does this help?

Rachel can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see that reading large print books should be a problem. I also read large print books sometimes not because I'm blind but because I find the large print easier to read at times.

Lindy-
Large books are accepted. You just need to reference the book and author. Your team will collectively help figure things out. Keep a running log on your teams board so you and your team can calculate it with you.

In that case when u DO finish wk ending the 7th YOUd start the male author. But if you're done today then male author starts today. If you have all day to read and wanted to get another any book in and start male author later in the day that's certainly your prerogative. I think its more about staying on sched and reading a book that fits the criteria for each wk than quantity in this game tho.
Idk if that helps at ALL or if I misunderstood the question which is possible. If so Rachel will be along! Just trying to lend a hand:0) happy reading!

Yes that exactly correct! The dates a re just little guidelines, not necessarily a hard date that you MUST complete it by. It overlaps to give everyone time to finish the previous weeks books and begin the next weeks!
