It is about a dog butcher in Korea named Jinho who makes a living slaughtering dogs and selling their meat. When Jinho is about to slaughter one of his dogs for a customer, he unexpectedly feels a bond with the dog. It is a one-eyed dog whom life has treated unkindly. But the butcher sees something when he looks into its clear, sorrowful eye.
Personally, I think her novel is the most heartbreaking and beautiful book I have ever read. But, of course, I could be biased. I would love to hear a second opinion.
Right now it is only available on Kindle.
The Dog Butcher has yet to receive any reviews. If anyone would like a free Kindle copy, email me and I will send you one.
