K.C. Finn (kcfinn) | 24 comments I want to know what you picture Sam's gay dance partner to look like. I was trying to imagine him when re-reading and I keep getting this muscly boyband kind of look! Am I right?

Lol!Oh you are so good, Kim! Ivan is a very pretty boy- tall, well defined, well manicured with short tousled brown hair. You'll get a more in depth look at him in book two.

Hi Asher! Shine came from a dream. I saw a young man and woman shrouded in white-blue light followed by a book cover with the title "Shine". I woke up and started writing and the story snowballed into "Shine, the Knowing Ones". Crazy how one image can create a novel!

Are there any other small characters getting built up more in the sequels?

I find Manpupuner and the legends behind it fascinating! I wanted my characters names to have meaning. Vadim came up in my research as meaning "to know" which really worked for Trin so the Russian aspect just kept climbing until I had a whole new legend of my own for Manpupuner.

Yes Kim! We'll get a closer look at Ashbel and Mikhail. But a fairly insignificant character in book one has unexpected significance in book two that no one will see coming. Not giving names. You'll just have to wait!

Jennifer McGill-Sadera | 6 comments Where do you like to write? I am a writer too and when the weather gets warm, I bring my laptop outside to my garden. My parents live in St. Augustine and if I was lucky enough to live there too, I think I'd spend most of my time outdoors writing! Beautiful city!!!

Lol! So true, Kim! I have no doubt that if anyone knows who this character might be, it is YOU!

Hi Jennifer! There is a little coffee shop right in the little downtown area that I used to love to work at. But when I find myself struggling with story line or plot etc I need complete silence. This has been the case lately so I stay inside on my living room couch! :( Not as inspirational as warm breezes and magnolia trees, I'll admit! Thanks for asking! I do love living here. Best of luck with your writing!
