Exploring Anthony Trollope discussion

First published in 1848, Trollope's second novel tells the story of Lord Ballindine, and his near neighbours Mrs. Kelly and her son Martin.

In the Guardian, Jane Smiley wrote an interesting article about this novel.

In my Oxford Classics version of this book.
William Trevor cites this as Trollopes first great work in his introduction. Although, I wouldn't go this far, in my opinion, it is certainly the best of his first 3 novels, and contains a lot of Trollopian touches and is certainly well worth reading.
