Fracture Me discussion

I kind of disagree with all of your comments bout hating Adam so much. he is a typical kind of guy. he was my first choice. but then came warner. but still. Adam is a great guy.

This book made me mad, not in a way that makes me hate the book but in a way that makes me upset with a character. Like with Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia, great book, bad decision making with a certain character. Adam is just making me upset right now. I think what's really going on is Adam had a royally messed up childhood and clung to the only thing that brought him a sense of happiness outside of his brother. And like any human being he fell in love with that bright spot in his life. IT'S JUST FIRST LOVE, THAT'S HOW IT WORKS!

I don't think the novella itself was bad, even though I was expecting more from it after reading Warner's. I think it's safe to say that Fracture Me was nowhere near as deep as Destroy Me and that's fine because they're 2 different people. Adam's simple mindedness has always bothered me to a certain extent, hence why I've always preferred Warner. His love for his brother really is the only thing I love about him. But I agree that in many ways Adam sounded like an average teenage boy. I believe that he and Juliette worked in the first book (even though I didn't like him then either) but now after reading this novella it is plain obvious that they are just not meant to be in the long run. And that's okay too...

I liked the book, not as much as I liked Destroy Me, but still. I like that Adam loves his brother that much, but this book just made it even more clear (at least to me) that Adam and Juliette aren't ment to be. And I like Warner more anyway, so I'm fine with that.

Well I like Adam's POV. The problem was how he sees Juliette. For Adam, Juliette is his responsability. He sees her like she were harmless, fragile. He never truly believe in Juliette.

On the other hand, Warner does. He knows she has to accept her self. Her gift too. That she's not a monster. Warner knows she has potential. A potential that Adam never saw in her. And then you realise that Adam doesn't understand Juliette the way Warner does.

After reading fracture me. I know who's the best choice for her. Girls: Aaron Sexy Warner :D

For me, Adam sees Juliette as weak and fragile, and when they are together Juliette becomes that. With Warner, he pushes her to be independent and strong, which is what she becomes when she is with him. Juliette also challenges Warner to be better person or to realise that he doesn't have to hide under her monster mask, so they make each other better. Adam and Juliette together are a weak couple to me compared to Juliette and Warner.

I think maybe we're comparing Fracture Me to Destroy Me a little too much.Before Fracture Me came out we were expecting a deep and personal version of Adam hidden from the main books. But that just didn't happen, so we're blaming our disappointment on the book and not the character. But then again we can't really blame Adam because we all knew in the first place he is, was, and will never be anything like Warner and that's what we all want more of. But if you really think about it, Tahereh Mafi may have done this on purpose to swerve us to Warner's side more so that the people (whoever they are) who still think Adam and Juliette are meant to be together give up that theory because she may be planning for Warner and Juliette to be together in the end.
