Dee (austhokie) | 652 comments Welcome to 2014!

Naomi, Anna and I sat down and hopefully came up with a good list of authors for us to explore in 2014 and first off is Lene Kaaberbøl - who writes the Nina Borg series, along with Agnete Friis

The Boy in the Suitcase
Invisible Murder
Death of a Nightingale

Lene also writes YA fantasy books

Dee (austhokie) | 652 comments I read Boy in the Suitcase a couple of years ago, but was a tad underwhelmed, but I have a rule to read at least 2 books in a series before giving up, so i'll be checking out Invisible Murder

Naomi (nblackburn) | 932 comments Enjoyed Death of a Nightingale. I am caught up for her, so I am continuing my catch-up this month!

Naomi (nblackburn) | 932 comments I will admit that this is def. not one of my favorite NN authors. If she wasn't NN, I would probably have stopped reading her after Invisible Murder.

Erin Matthiessen (erinmatt) | 1 comments I enjoyed The Boy in the Suitcase except for one thing: if the protagonist had simply gone to the police in the beginning, the problem would have been solved (I'm being vague to avoid spoilers). Of course there would also then have been no novel!

Anyway, it was well-written, and I'll probably continue on with the rest of the series.

Dee (austhokie) | 652 comments but Erin - that makes too much sense!!

Would have been the shortest book written. lol

message 8: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (jennyil) I was on the fence about The Boy in the Suitcase. Invisible Murder was better. I will have to see if the next one is available at the public library yet.

message 9: by Naomi, the Sanity Check (new)

Naomi (nblackburn) | 932 comments I thought the same thing, Jenny.
