Amber (bluebleeder) | 79 comments Well, after hitting one hundred in 2012 I didn't even come close last year. I'm going to blame a stressful year that included a divorce and move on to the next. Reaching this year's goal has a much better outlook already.

The same goes for you! It is off to a great start so far...aside from the storm of the century. I did get a lot of reading done while snowed in, though!

Amber (bluebleeder) | 79 comments 1. A Color of His Own I don't know that I like counting children's picture books but I guess I will. The book I'm reading now tops 1000 pages so one picture book won't hurt.
2. Fifty Shades of Bacon A book of 50 bacon recipes...how could this be a bad thing?
3. Lincoln Through the Lens: How Photography Revealed and Shaped an Extraordinary Life
4. Doctor Who: Dead of Winter Meh.
5. The Way of Kings This book was SO good. It started out a little slow...there was a lot to pick up on. Once I got my bearings it was fantastic!
6. Reborn
7. Controlling the Dead
8. Descension
9. Impassion
10. Deception (Mystic Series #3)
11. The Lies of Locke Lamora This book was absolutely fantastic! I can't wait to read the next few!
12. Cactus Hotel Good little book to read to my 2nd and 3rd graders while they study the desert.
13. The Whispering Great final book for a trilogy that I really liked.
14. On a Pale Horse
15. Thorns I loved this book. I read the first in the series a while ago and absolutely loved it, but didn't download the next until recently when the rest of the series was on sale. I absolutely tore through it...couldn't stop reading.
16. Weavers
17. The Walking Dead, Issue #1 These are so short, I don't really know if I should count them. However, goodreads counts them towards my goal, so I'm going to go ahead and log them here just to keep thing the same on both.
18. The Walking Dead, Issue #2
19. The Walking Dead, Issue #3

54. The Wise Man's Fear

Kristin (kristinnb) I always love seeing what you're reading. Sorry for the rough year. It happens to the best of us. 2014 is YOUR year!

message 11: by Amber (new)

Amber (bluebleeder) | 79 comments likewise! I'm glad to know it is mutual! I'm definately more confident about the direction I'm heading in now than I was at this time last year...both with my reading goals and everything else!

Amber (bluebleeder) | 79 comments I'm so glad I joined a start up book club! I'm really knocking out some of the books that were on my to-read list but kept getting overlooked!
