Trisha Here’s a fun way to look back over a year of reading by turning it into a story using this template and the titles of the books you’ve read the past year. Here’s mine:

I began the day with Dr. Thorne (Anthony Trollope) who advised me to Bring up the Bodies, (Hillary Mantel) On my way to work I saw The Tiger in the Attic, (Edith Milton)
as I walked by Mansfield park (Jane Austen) in order to avoid The House in Dormer Forest, (Mary Webb) because I was afraid of The Stone Angel, (Margaret Laurence)
When I got to work, my boss was talking to Clara Callan, (Richard Wright) and so I spent the morning Unpacking the Boxes, (Donald Hall) and listening to Echoes From the Dead, (Johan Theorin) When it was time for lunch I asked The Wonder Boys, (Michael Chabon) to meet me at The Round House, (Louise Erdrich) and it was then I noticed I Was Amelia Earhart, (Jane Mendelsohn) So I quickly decided to look for A Home at the end of the World, (Michael Cunningham) and that’s where I met Friday’s Child, (Georgette Heyer) I went back to work feeling The Measure of my Days, (Florida Scott-Maxwell) but my boss said it was because The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, (Carson McCullers) which made me start wondering about Unnatural Death, (Dorothy Sayers)
I spent the rest of the day Beyond the Beautiful Forevers, (Katherine Boo) When I got home I stepped into The Big House: A Century in the life of an American Summer Home, (George How Colt) and waited for The Return of Jeeves (P.G. Wodehouse)
