We really need a good general history of the Civil War in Florida! Perhaps you could write one?

I am afraid there were very few Civil War battles actually fought in Florida, and all of them were in the northern part of the state. Florida really did not get going until after the war, with many folks from Georgia coming here to make a fresh start after Sherman's march devastated that state. Civil War is not my cup of tea, and the only books I have read are the series by Sharra, father & son. If I am ever lucky enough to finish a manuscript, it will be a novel based on WW I aviation.

Here are my favourites on the subject

1) Dark Invasion: 1915: Germany's Secret War and the Hunt for the First Terrorist Cell in America by Howard Blum

2) Over Here: The First World War and American Society by David M. Kennedy

3) All Quiet on the Home Front: An Oral History of Life in Britain During the First World War by Richard Van Emden

4) The Enemy at His Pleasure: A Journey Through the Jewish Pale of Settlement During World War I by S. Ansky

5) Class 1902 by Ernst Glaeser

There could be much lumping and splitting of the categories, but I think it covers everything pretty well.
I voted for the Eastern Front, btw.
