Okay guys so we are going to try and get a series discussion going. We would like some input on if you would like to do it. If we get enough of a response we will take a poll and start our series.- Kimi

This was originally posted by Kimberly, our series mod, but was move into its very own discussion section! Like she said, any suggestions for a series are invited!

Dark Tower sounds good to me -

I read Divergent - the first book in Veronica Roth's series and it was very good - a fast read

Series of Unfortunate Events

These were just random ideas.......

Danielle I'm finishing up a series right now - Cecilia - from back when series were long novels released in volumes. I plan to read a few more by the same author, Franny Burney - Camila and The Wanderer. I'm looking forward especially to The Wanderer. Burney lived in France during the Revolutionary war, and was a witness to the battle at Waterloo. The Wanderer is about a mysterious French woman emigrating to England by herself in the 1790's and the difficulties she faces. It received bad reviews when it first came out because it criticized England and because "women did not have problems that could be made into interesting fiction".

Count me in for any. I'm very curious about The Dark Tower because of all the reddit hype.

message 15: by Danielle (new)

Danielle I would be most interested in MaddAddam.

Funny. I just mentioned the MaddAddam trilogy in https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

because our monthly book read has been voted as The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.

Great series! I look forward to any of the finalist for the series for sure! Can't wait to start!

Danielle I just realized I've had Oryx and Crake on hold from the library for nearly 6 months now. When I started on the hold list, I think it was 80 or 90 people long, and now I'm in 29th place (the list is still 73 long). So if this series is as popular in other libraries, that could be a problem. Gunslinger also has a hold list of about 25.

This is something to consider! Anyone else having issues obtaining any of the books? Thoughts?
