My vote would be for fantasy

I vote for mystery.

and I would like to do steampunk sooner or later.

steampunk is like.. well, google pretty much sums it up: "a genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology."
It's also usually set sometime in the past. The closest thing I've read to steampunk was the infernal devices series, which was more a mix of steampunk and fantasy. I would really love to do dystopian also though.

Steampunk sounds very interesting is there a reason it became so popular? Book or movie that really defined the genre? It sounds like Dystopia where the technology has been forgotten kind of like the TV show Dark Angel
