BUT, Joyce had a family too. Arno Schmidt considers the writings of James' brother Stanislaus Joyce an important source for James=exegesis. I have no idea if Stanislaus-as-source has caught on in Joyce studies ; but Father Joyce pops up now and again in the Wake. Others too? How about that brother-rivalry going on, the ole game of Shem v Shaun?

In other words -- this thread (you wanna folder?) for discussion of Family Joyce at the Wake.
