Okay. Anyone who knows me knows my favourite book of all time is Wuthering Heights. So I had high expectations going into this movie. Oh my god. I was so disappointed.

The only decent thing about this movie was the scenery which was stunning and just how I envisioned. The casting? Not what I envisioned. The only bareable actor was Kaya, who played Catherine. Everyone else were terrible, in my opinion. The guy who played Heathcliff was notably the worst. Then he was crying angrily I burst out laughing because it was so ridicoulously fake.
And there was no intensity between Cathy and Heathcliff goddammit! Like, wtf?!
It was quite graphic too, in my opinion, for a 15 rated movie. A lot of cussing--I don't mind. Killing animals--again, I don't mind because it was in the book. But what I did not expect was nudity. LOL. I can't properly remember but I'm pretty sure we got some shots of male...genitals. Again, wtf?!
AND there was no sense of plot at all. Most of the book was just Cathy and Heathcliff roaming the moors when they were younger. Granted, this was a major part of the book but not 60 minutes of it!
The shaky camera. Obviously, it was purposeful. At times it worked. At times it didn't work. Like, when Heathcliff was running from Thrushcross and he was jumping over the wall, it worked great. But at other times the camera was so shaky I couldn't even see what was going on.
Okay, I'm going to finish my terrible rant and since no one will probably read this I feel slightly better.
Rating: 1.5 Stars.

And what the heck is a 15 rated movie?"

I'm sure there is. xD But I definitely remember seeing other things...*shudders*
Oooh, we have different rating systems. I think in america it's the rating below an R rated.

According to wikipedia, the equivalent would be PG-13. c:

I don't know then lol. xD But seriously, I think in England they should reconsider bumping it to an 18.
