Definitely not a mutual admiration society, though. Constructive criticism is always allowed and indeed appreciated. I have my own serial's forum hosted over there and I'm grateful for any advice and feedback when readers find something they think needs improvement. Other authors may feel differently, but that doesn't mean criticism isn't allowed on the EpiGuide as a whole.
Anyway, the time for registration is over, alas. But anyone who wants to join in and root for those participating, c'mon over! And there's always next year's WeSeWriMo.
Thanks again for the nice words, Michael.
Thanks to both of you for keeping this civil and short.
All opinions are welcome here too, but just fyi I may not be a constantly present moderator, but that's because I haven't seen anything hateful enough to act on. Everyone has been fantastic, posted in mostly appropriate places and kept things on topic.
This is an example of a situation that could have flamed and didn't.
I appreciate that and everyone who posts here on the group even if sometimes, I'm very spotty on my own participation.
It's a good group.
Mostly because of all of you.
:)

The EpiGuide is hosting WeSeWriMo (Web Serial Writing Month), its annual month-long writing marathon, starting on August 1 and running through August 31, where creators of original, regularly-produced web-based fiction are challenged to write as they've never written before. And I'd love to invite you to join in. The sign-up deadline is August 1 (end-of-day, so you have through tomorrow to work up the courage, hee!).
For those who haven't participated or even heard of this thing before, WeSeWriMo was (duh) inspired by NaNoWriMo, but where we part company from this huge event is that rather than a single goal for all writers, WeSeWriMo offers each serial creator/writer to set his or her own benchmark--sometimes multiple benchmarks, in fact.
Since webserials come in many different formats and genres, from never-ending serials to serialized novels to screenplay-formatted works and beyond, milestones may vary.
For more details, visit http://www.wesewrimo.org, or hop on over to the EpiGuide.
We're a decidedly low-key, low-tech project so far, and admittedly we lack the automated tools of NaNoWriMo. But we hope to grow in future if participation warrants it.
Joining is easy:
1. Sign up for a free EpiGuide account
2. Add your series/site/project and goal to the official WeSeWriMo 2015 registration thread by August 1, 2015.
3. Have fun! (Also please spread the word, if you can. If you're part of other webserial or general writing communities, such as Jukepop or Wattpad, it'd be great for folks to help let other serial fiction authors know of this marathon made special for them!)
Once we process your info we'll add you to the official list and you'll get some free goodies, such as a blog, a banner, access to the WeSeWriMo '15 forum where you can meet the other participants, and other extras.
Hope to see some of y'all joining in. BTW, if you've never seen the EpiGuide: we've been around since 1998, and are avid creators and supporters serialized fiction and the webfiction community as a whole. The community is very quiet (my fault) but you'll find a set of new people doing other interesting things with webserials in different genres.
If you have any questions, let me know... and thanks very much for reading this far!
