To get a better variety of non fiction books we are suggesting themes for each month. The theme for September is SCIENCE

This thread will remain open until 5th August and then will be closed for voting.

I nominate Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid by Douglas R. Hofstadter. Quite a challenging read--would probably need to be two months... but well worth it from what I've heard.
