ok i have to rant on this. I. HATE. THE BEST FRIEND! K.C is probably one the most self absorbed, selfish, backstabbing bitches ever! she broke like 50 rules of girl code! like holy shit!
- she brings (more like force) tate to a party, knowing that people that dont like her will be there and humiliate her. she probably just needed a ride home.
- she tells tate to fight back, then backs out when she finally stands up for herself
- she dates jared! knowing that he bullied, harassed, etc. to Tate and tried to defend him "hes a good guy" "you should move on" what the flying fuck!?!?! and she knows that tate has a thing for him, and hooks up with him anyway!
-she lied! like 100 times!
- she knows that jared is just using her to make tate mad, and shes just gonna get hurt and shes like "i dont care" what a hoe!
- she tried to make jared and herself look like the victim.
- and i dont recall an apologie to tate about dating her enemy, lieing about it, and not being a good friend
i was waiting for tate to hit, or dump KC cuz shes a really horrible friend. she just stayed friends with her because she was all she had left, and thats sad. I dont care is her bf cheated on her, if i was in a 2 year relationship with this bitch, i would cheat on her too!!! you could probably make a really small argument that she means well and just trying to avoid conflict. but if the tables were turned KC would drop Tate like a rock.

i also hate that Tate let her get away with it but she also forgave Jared everything too so i guess she is just a very forgiving person or a push over!.

I couldn't stand her as a friend either. I thougth Tate should have ended the friendship with her as well. KC was a terrible friend. I would never have asked Tate to go to parties I knew Jared would be at, or dated him. It was explained in Jared's story why they were together, but still I would have ended all ties I had with KC if she was my friend.

Unrealistic character and friendship. Do author's actually expect us to believe that the girls in these books only have one friend? Or none at all? Pisses me off so much when I see this. How can a girl in high school literally only have one friend? She's nice, attractive and into sports yet NOONE talks to her. Riiiiight. This is a problem with the genre not just 'Bully'.

Trust me not an unrealistic character there are ppl like that in the world and they have friends who put up with it like Tate did.

I agree with Stephanie. The situations that came up in this series are very possible. It seems like some of comments made here were by people that forgot with it's like to be a teenager. Kids are cruel now and always have been, but with the different types of social media these kids have at their finger tips it is so much worse now than it was when we were kids. I work at my local police dept and you would not believe the things I've seen and heard.

Yesterday My female cousin stopped by and I had not seen or heard from her in 10 years. Well she almost had me in tears. She said here is my number call me. I don't have a lot of friends only Kelly and me and you were good friends as well as relatives. So my point is Unlike me who have about 7 BBF's there is people out there that don't have a lot off freinds

I think she only agreed to him being her "rebound" because Jared said they weren't anything and she didn't want to look embarrassed in front of everyone at the loop. If he didn't say anything I'am not sure she would have said he was her rebound. But who knows, she is still an awful friend to do that to Tate especially after everything Jared put her through. I wish Tate didn't give into her so easily, K.C really didn't seem to care much about Tate anyway.......this really drove me nuts!

I despised K.C in this book and in Until You. She was just horrible and the worst bf a person could EVER have! The sad part is that she's gonna get her own book with Jax...GRRR!! why??!!!!

I think we should give her the benefit of the doubt. Remember how Jared was in the beginning. She may evolve as a person through the next two books and remember Jax set his sights on her already and said she was be his.

I get that Jared wasn't perfect either and what he did was messed up but that's another story. His mission was to hurt Tate. He didn't think, he'd kiss her, want her back, have Tate finally forgive him and that they would end up together later... k.c. was pretty pathetic and a shitty so called best friend. She knew that Jared bullied Tate for years and yet she chose the one guy that makes Tate miserable.. and for what?! Oh. To make Liam jealous, of course. As a "best friend" she shouldn't of done that to Tate. Whatever. It happened, it's done now, things are fine for Tate. Now k.c. can go be with her cheating boyfriend, they deserve each other. Ugh! If only it were that simple. Now turns out she is Jax's love interest. wowwww. I find it depressing that an awesome character like Jax is being pared up with her. Freaking k.c. of all people. There's nothing remotely interesting about her. She's an annoying, irritating character and Jax deserves better then a girl that's swapped spit with his brother. That's all I'm saying.

I hear you Sarah! When Jared told a bit of Jax's story I was curious. I wondered if we would get more of him. Then come to find out, Jax is going to have his own story! YAY!! Awesome. (happy dance)! I read the end of Until You and started getting annoyed...No way Jax is going to fall for k.c. right? :( I refuse to believe that. Unfortunately I was wrong, I found out that this horrible nightmare is actually reality. Great. -___-

I know!! Thank God for that lol. To be honest I tried to empathize with KC, I really did. I reread the books and the more I tried to understand where she was coming from the more resented her. I really don't want her with Jax! This is really bothering me :((

I wrote to her earlier and she responded a few hours ago. Yeah I agree she is super nice. She explained that she understood that k.c. rubbed me the wrong way, but if there's one thing she tries to accomplish in her stories, it's that everyone has a reason for why they are the way they are. So with that, I will give K.C the benefit of the doubt.

ok there will be 2 more books in which we will see more Tate and Jared and KC and all the ohers so i hope we will see a Tate/KC confrontation about what she did with Jared couse Tate should not let i go so easy

OMFG......Really people. She is an amazing writer. Her books are awesome. Have you ever heard the saying " if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all". There is also a remove button. If you don't like where the story is going hit it. One out of a thousand want hurt her, but your ignorant comments does. With that being said Penelope Douglas you are a awesome writer. Please don't let these small minded people make you think different. I love your page and your conversation with the hubs and I will truly miss it. And I'm glad you will not listen to them people and change Jax and KC story. I love to see how it plays out

I would like to say something. I love Penelope Douglas's writing. She is amazing. I do not question her ability as a writer or to create awesome stories. I didn't create the forum to slam her. It was meant for us vent our feelings about a character who we thought was not nice to the main character. That's it. Its not like i was all "OMG i hate this 1 character out of all these other awesome characters!! im gonna totally hate on the author! fuck the fact that its a great story and sexy as hell, im gonna ruin PD!!! MWAHAHAH!!" thats not the case. I (and everybody else) gave the story a great rating. and I recommended it to everyone ik. I already sent PD an apology and she told me that the 3rd book is promising. and ukw if SHE loves it im gonna read it! im gonna give KC the benefit of the doubt! I trust her. and hey its a good challenge!!! to see if she can get someone we dont like to totally have a good back story and become a great character. Think of how awesome that would be.

I can not wait to read kc and jax story and delve into what makes them tick. Kc has problems with her mum and we all know how horrific jax had it. All I will say is I do not know how you can demand a rewrite because you dont like it when I first started bully I didnt like jared much but by the end I loved him. This is penelopes vision and I am sure she will not let us down but if you really are against it then just do not read it.

Ok this is crazy, Penelope is an awesome writer, she's given us amazing characters, that we all fell in love with. I get it not everyone likes K.C. I didn't like her either. But there's always a reason why a character does what they do. I think you all need to give Penelope a chance to tell K.C.'s story. I'm all for Jax and K.C. everyone desires a HEA.

I suggest a read of Until You. Then you get the why KC dated Jared. I do not fault those who dislike KC, I was not all that happy with her either until I read Until You. Then you start to see how Jax is crazy for her in that book. I can't change anyone opinon nor do I wish to even try, free speech in all, but I do feel bad for you. I believe you will miss out on something epic with Jax and KC's story. I also think its just awful how we as people (fans) pick on others for what they create (authors), it's not our business, and even better if you don't like you can you are not forced to deal with it. Its amazing hownif you don't agree with something you can ignore it and go on with your life rather than stress someone out over your cruel words. Again I say you can feel anyway you want to feel. But to make others feel something other than happy over their work is (again this is just my opinion) just sad.
I will not visit this thread again because I will be busy posting positive things to make other feel happy.

I trust the author. I didn't hate on KC after Until You so I'm open. Yeah she did some questionable things but hello...she explained! Gimme gimme more!

I personally didn't want to read the Falling Away book because K.C. is the love interest and I just didn't like her. She rubbed me off the wrong way, so when I found out she was Jax's love interest I was angry/disappointed about it. I love Penelope's books. She is an amazing writer. I think she should be proud that she can get this much emotion from her readers whether it's love or hate, at least we feel something for the characters that she's created. I saw her recent post for the Falling Away book and I trust that she knows what she's doing. I am actually excited in seeing how it's going to turn out and who knows, maybe it'll be one hell of a story. #teamPen

Rico, I didn't want k.c to be the love interest either. It still sucks but Penelope says that k.c has a pretty important story to tell and I guess she's going to try to redeem her to the readers. I just hope it works. I reread the books yesterday and the resentment is still there. :/

Just finished Rival, my fav in series, auth says eta for KC/Jax book is April 2015.

I have to say, I agree w/ a lot of comments here about how crappy KC is and was hoping to have seen the last of her. I do feel let down that Jax will be w/ her (was hoping someone new) since the chick doesnt know the meaning of loyalty and that's a huge thing w/ Jax. But from teaser at end of Rival, life does bring KC pretty low so maybe I'll feel better when she's in some pain (evil smirk).

I cannot friggin believe that Tate didn't drop her as a friend.. She's horrible. I was just fuming with her and I'm only half way through the book for crying out loud! I'm wanting to climb into the pages of this book just so I can deck her.. seriously so tired of this character!

K.C. and Jared never slept together right? There's a scene in Bully where Tate was asking Jared to tell her about all the girls he has been with. They sorta quarreled, had sex, and then afterwards he tells her he never did any of the pleasurable naughty stuff with the other girls including K.C. soo????

Have all you KC haters read This is Jared's POV which I'm glad that I read it because it explains what happened between he and KC. It was not sexual at alI. In Bully I really never truly understood his apparent hatred and evilness and bullying of Tate. The fact that he had a bad time with his father that summer that he was 14 and he heard Tate say that she was going out with some other boy didn't seem to warrent his extreme and prolonged actions. After Listening to Until you Have a better understanding.

Im sure most of us KC Haters read Until you already. We got Jared's pov of why the thing between KC and him went down but we just dont understand why KC kicked Tate to the curb when Tate needed someone to back her up. No worries, Penelope assured us Haters we will like KC and to look out for Falling Away because im sure KC has her own demons to share. I love Pen and so im waiting for the epic explanation, if possible, because at this point Tate&KC's friendship is still kinda rocky. JUST WAIT AND SEE!!

Exactly. Ive read Until... and yes, we know it was platonic between KC & Bully boy but the book does NOT excuse or justify KC's treatment of Tate, her supposed besty. And really, there never will be because KC was just a crap friend. Period.

Alright, I am not the kind of person that usually takes back what I say, and admit being wrong. But by GOD i was fucking wrong! I was reading this book praying that PD would "redeem KC in some way" and she did WAAAAYYYY more than redeem herself! she stole my heart! she went from being the most hated to most sympathized

Its kind of weird because i can actually relate to her in some way. I know what its like to have a controlled life and to feel like your stuck and your dying to get out. Her mother was terrible to her, I cant even fathom how a mother can take away her own daughters individuality, abuse, and try and make her into something else, like shes a fucking doll. This is some fucked up My Sisters Keeper shit!!! Her mother deserved no sympathy or forgiveness. The fact that Juliet (I cant even call her KC anymore) took car of her, shows how grown up shes gotten.
The fucking character development is huge!

Honestly, KC is gone. I dont even know who KC even is. That person in BULLY is not her. Juliet is a beautiful, strong, smart, independent women that deserves the best in life. Shes hes definitely earned Jaxon Trent as her soul mate.
I forgave her actions LONG before she even apologized.

I publicly and personally take back every negative thing I ever said about her. KC does not exist anymore. Just Juliet. ONLY EVER YOU.
