Jennifer | 96 comments I Googled the best I could to no avail. Do you remember if these are some of her earlier books or have they come out in the last few years?
I know how frustrating it is to know a book but not be able to remember enough to find it.

lorii (Loriidae) I can't answer Ashley's question, but hope it's ok to jump here.

Is there a NR stand alone romantic suspense, that begins with a scene where the Hero is a bird watcher and is in a bird hide watching owls at night when the heroine arrives at her (i think abandoned - definitely empty childhood vacation house)...thanks

Hmmm...I've not read one with this beginning.

got a name of the heroine?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1491 comments I've read all the NR romantic-suspense and that is not one of hers.

lorii (Loriidae) OK thanks Jonetta and Anita, funny how I had it stuck in my brain that it was :)...thanks again

Erin (tesserin) | 405 comments Is it possible the one about the self conscious woman is book 3 of MacGregor Grooms with Naomi Brightstone and Ian? The version I have begins with Danial talking about each grandson a bit before the first chapter. The first subsection is titled D.C. , 2nd is Duncan , then Ian. Let me know :)

yes, that´s book #3 of the MacGregors (The MacGregor Grooms) - hope I understood your question right. Ian is the lawyer and in this part of the MacGregors its all about books - as far as I remember :-)

Quynh (quynh_o) | 218 comments Naomi didn't start off with one brother and fall for another though. She only had eyes for Ian and vice versa. She used to be chubby as a kid but she's still conscious about her body as an adult. The original post doesn't really remind me of any NR books I've read.

We never said, that Naomi started off with one brother and went then for the other :-) Erin´s post got nothing to do with the original post except for the fact, that she was asking about a NR titel - thats all :-)

Best wishes
Vi

Doesn't ring a bell.

message 14: by ♥ Joy Joy ♥ (last edited Mar 03, 2016 02:28PM) (new)

♥ Joy Joy ♥ (joylia) I'm taking that the original post was asking about two separate books.

I don't recall any chubby heroines in the books I've read, though there are two that were said to have had weight issues.

One was Naomi in the MacGregor series and the other was Quinn in Blood Brothers (the Sign of Seven series).

As for going from one brother to another, the only one that comes to mind is the Cordina series. Except Eve was always in love with Alex. She might have contemplated starting something with Bennett (because she thought Alex disliked her) except Bennett got shot and the two ended up becoming very good (platonic) friends instead.

My guess is Montana Sky for the "chubby" one - although she isn't actually chubby - it's described that she was, at one point, but she isn't now - she IS described as being way more fleshy/rounded/etc than the other women in the novel.

message 17: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Richardson (goodreadscommellea77) | 84 comments @Ashley, maybe local hero? It's a silhouette. He's a graphic novelist though, not a businessman.

Tami (agreatbook) (tamiabbas) | 89 comments Hi All - Hope its OK to jump in with another "looking for." I started reading a trilogy a while back and I can't pin point if from browsing Goodreads. With a Toddler and another one on the way I don't have a ton of time to spend researching....especially when we have great resources here!

There are three heroes - I think all friends, and three heroines who end up great friends. The first book had a heroine who used to chubby but is now thin - what I recall about her is her only allowing herself fast food once a month. (And cutting a slice of pizza in half...which I found tragic.). A subsequent book had a hero lawyer who works from a converted house. He hires one of the Heroines to do some clerking and they end up falling in love. I think it's one of the supernatural series, and newer - maybe 1990s or 2000s.

Any help would be appreciated!

message 19: by Britney (new)

Britney | 380 comments I believe your talking about the sign of seven trilogy? The first book Blood Brothers (Sign of Seven, #1) by Nora Roberts has Quinn and she loves food so much that she does her lifestyle change and she does cut pizza in half. The second book is The Hollow (Sign of Seven, #2) by Nora Roberts and it has Fox who is a lawyer. A demon comes to town every 7 years, and It's paranormal.

Melissa Madrid | 11 comments Several years ago-more than 5, less than 10 I read a paperback book by Nora Roberts. I think it was part of a trilogy. She was a waitress, or maybe the owner of a cafe. The sheriff would come in and talk & flirt with her. I don't remember much more of the story but really enjoyed the book. It isn't much to go on but maybe someone would remember reading it?

message 27: by ♥ Joy Joy ♥ (new)

♥ Joy Joy ♥ (joylia) Yep, what Jonetta said. Sounds like Dance Upon the Air.

The main character romance focus on that one was Nell (who was the chef of the cafe in Mia's book store) and Sheriff Zach Todd.

message 28: by Tina (new)

Tina (trwriteratwork) | 79 comments I haven't read the Three Sisters Island trilogy yet, but the description kind of reminds me of The Heart of Devin MacKade The Heart Of Devin Mackade (The Mackade Brothers #3) by Nora Roberts which is the 3rd book in this series. Cassie was a waitress initially and Devin, the town sheriff. I absolutely loved the MacKade series. Just thought I'd mention it. :)

Vane | 1 comments Hello everyone
I am looking for the title of a Nora Robert book :
What I remembered :
A young girl living in a western part of the US, in a small town.
She had some kind of magical powers (I think it was to read minds but I'm not sure) Her father used to abuse her (physical) because he didn't like her reading his mind; and basically she met a good looking guy and fell in love. That's all I remenber sorry, I know I cried so hard reading it .
I think its a 90's book also

Please help me out if you can
Thank you

message 41: by Kathy (new)

Kathy | 1098 comments I know I’m reaching here. But I’m trying to remember a romance/suspense book where the heroine has a house and the hero moves moves into or already has a huge house nearby. He is fixing it up. She avoids him but eventually starts going to his place. I remember he has a balcony where they sit an talk. And they can see her house from the balcony.

Any leads or help would be appreciated. I know it isn’t much. Thanks!

I’m sorry I don’t. I wish I did. I’ve been searching but I’m so vague on the details I just can’t find it. I remember her spending the night at his place reluctantly and then woke up to something happening at her house across the way. Again, so vague. Frustrating!! Lol
