I think all of Lindholm's stories have room for interpretation.
I liked this one a lot.
Especially the parts with the muse were very amusing. About the muse being a fickle thing, drinking all her wine and leaving.
And then at the very end the Muse returning "If you're quite finished having a temper tantrum, we'll get on with your career now."
makes me wonder about Hobb's muses...

Nothing to critique here. Only praises to sing. It's funny, personal, authentic with a little bit of magic - real and imaginary (you decide which is which...) - thrown in with a twinkle in the eye. Wonderful story of a woman in the tail-end of her 30's, who is down on luck and has lost her creative spark. A mysterious man, sexy encounters and a dash of romance bring it all back. Loved it.
A delightful 5/5 stars.
