to set the default edition to the new cover, follow these instructions:

1) Navigate to the book's page. Be sure you have selected the edition you wish to become the default (primary) edition.

2) Click "edit details" below the book's description.

3) On the right side of the page, click "Set this book as the primary edition for this work". It's about midway down the page.

Only Goodreads Authors can set the default edition at this time.

I've merged the duplicate ACE, but the paperback seems to have a valid ISBN so I'm not sure what you mean by "does not exist". Do you mean that the paperback never had that particular cover?

no, I mean there's something like a duplicate there too - one has a publishing date of 11 July, and one of 13 July. 13 is correct.

Angelika, Goodreads policy is to keep all published covers and editions on the site, as users want to shelve the cover of the copy they have. Instead, we add an alternate-cover edition. See http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... and http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/85....

As the author, you have the ability to change which edition of the book is the default, which will come up in searches by title and show on your author profile. Here's how: http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/31...

rivka, I'm aware of that, and it's not the problem. I wasn't demanding you removed a cover edition. But the book only has one publishing date.
