Ardyth DeBruyn | 33 comments I have a new book out! It's a children's chapter book that's 55 pages long (under 10k in words). I'm actually the illustrator of the chapter headings this time too... which makes me a bit nervous.

If anyone is up to reading/reviewing this for me, I'd be glad to send you an e-copy in any format.

Captain Pit Bull is the terror of the seven seas, plundering ships traveling to Catland with his team of scurvy sea dogs. Two young kittens, Patrick and Nathaniel, are galley slaves, chained to the oars below deck. With the help of the brave cabin pup Rifky, the kittens escape. Patrick swears to return and defeat Captain Bull, but can he do it before the pirate captain realizes Rifky’s mutiny?

J.A. Beard (jabeard) I'd be happy to read it with my son and do a review based on that.

Ardyth DeBruyn | 33 comments Sure! What format do you want? And I guess you might want to PM the email so it's not on the thread...

Congratulations on your new book, Ardyth.

Ardyth DeBruyn | 33 comments Thanks Andre! This is my first foray into illustrating as well (not the cover, just the inside art). Which makes me nervous in a way the first three books didn't.

I'm ironically far more self conscious about my art than my writing.
