So far, I like it. But I've read the review comments, which to me are always more interesting than the book.

Are mermaids the new thing? Who ..."

I think they all decide that, Author decides to write a book, that isn't being done much, Publishers publish the new style book, and we the readers 'eat' it up. ;P

Rachelle (mamachelle07) | 91 comments I just finished this book. I went into it not expecting to enjoy it much - never been much into mermaids. However I do love mythology so since this had something to do with Poseidon I took the bait (and yes, I know this isn't the Greek Poseidon, but I didn't realize that at first or I probably wouldn't have picked it up). But I really enjoyed this book! I was home sick from work today, but instead of sleeping like I should have done, I laid down and read the whole thing. Just downloaded Of Triton! I'm just glad I hadn't even heard of this series until it was almost complete. I don't mind waiting until May to finish the series, but I would've been upset if I'd had to wait much longer than that!

Brandy Nacole (brandynacole) | 61 comments This one has been on my tbr shelf since it came out. I think this will be my next read.

Suzzie (suzzietn) | 13 comments This series is actually pretty good. I've enjoyed the first two books and novellas. Some of it was kind of predictable but still good.

Taylor (ofwordsandwanderers) | 59 comments I kept passing this book at my local bookstore and I always was intrigued by the cover. However, it didn't seem like a book I would like so I passed it many times. When it was selected and a botm I actually bought it.

I was pleasantly surprised that I actually really liked this book and I read the second one too. I strongly recommend this novel.

Autumn | 29 comments I loved this book. I actually laughed out loud at parts - which is rare. I tend to just smirk. I liked the idea of Triton and pOseidon as Syrena generals. And I actually had an emotional (i.e. violent) reaction to the end. So, I winded up getting pretty invested in the story and it's people. The cover does a horrible job of portraying anything but the water element of the story, though.

Grace I found myself very much enthralled with this series/trilogy (?) although I feel as though the second book ended everything nicely and don't believe that any more books are necessary. While I am excited to once again jump into the lives of Emma and Galen, I fear that the next book (Of Neptune coming out in May) may not live up to the first two. Anyone else feel the same way?

Katelynn I guess I'm the dissenting opinion on this one.

While I liked the some of the mythology, I couldn't stand the writing style. And the only time I felt anything other than indifference (or mild irritation) for Emma was when she wrote Galen's number in the girls bathroom as payback. (That was awesome.) The insta-love was a little ridiculous as far as I was concerned--and I say this as someone who ADORES the concept of soulmates and bonds.

Overall, not my thing at all.

Brittney I really enjoyed the first book. Mostly because I thought it was hilarious. The plot was alright, the love story was cute, but the humor....that sold the book for me. It's rare for me to be in a room full of people while reading and burst out laughing, but with this book I did multiple times. I also enjoyed the characters. The second book however was a disappointment. I didn't care for it. I felt like the characters weren't the same loveable people I liked from the first book and the humor was almost nonexistent. I'm curious to see if I will even like the third.

Nicole N (n-squaredd) | 2 comments This one is one of my favorites! However, I like it a lot more than the second one, Of Triton.

Zoe (zoelezebre) I've heard so many good things about this book, but I don't know how I feel about mermaids. I'm kind of skeptical, should I read it?

Emily I really enjoyed the first book and all the funny humour the author put in. But I was disappointed in Of Triton because it felt really slow and boring and I remember it taking me quite a bit longer to read, but then I was pleased with the final book and felt that the story was tied together nicely. All in all I thought it was a pretty good series

Angie~ Faery of Weirdness (angiegoddessofweirdness) | 232 comments I loved the first book. Since my mum is pretty tight, she doesn't want to buy me more than five books a month. Sooooo.... I guess the second and third book would have to wait until I get the money for myself to get them. Although I did hear from others that the third book was a waste of time. So, I really have no idea what to expect:)

Kristina (niamangorabbit) | 7 comments I super loved this book and the entire series! It's a perfect summer & beach read. I read this while having a Summer Vacation in a beach near our city and it adds on the beach vibe (Made me want to be a mermaid!).
