Alexandra could be seen through the large glass windows of her house, standing resiliently in front of an older man. He seemed to be shouting, but through the glass, no one could hear a sound
Ashton parked the car in her driveway, as he walked up towards her front door, he saw her through the glass. The close he got he noticed that her father was beside her, and he father looked pissed. He was flaring his arms around in angry gesturing. He debated whether or not to ring to doorbell, but considering it was glass and they could probably see he, he did it anyways.
Alexandra turned, moving towards the door, lips pressed tightly together. Her stepfather grabbed her arm hard, jerking her back, whispering harshly towards her face. QUickly, she yanked away, running out the door and nearly running straight into Ashton
"Oh, shit," Ashton muttered trying to get out of her way, "You okay, Alexandra? What was going on in there? Oh, fuck, I mean it's none of my business. I can always come back another time, but like you okay?" He continued to go on and on, unsure of what to say in this situation because he was so thrown off guard.
Alexandra threw on one of her soft smiles, blinking really quickly, "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. No, we can still go today it's really no big deal, I totally still want to go in fact we should leave right now" she said quickly, the smile still pressed across her lips, one of her hands covering her arm where she had been grabbed
Ashton opened the car door for her before heading over to his side. Looking at Alexandra, reminded him of himself. He was dealing with issues with his father and it caused a pit to boil in his stomach. Anger. Anger towards Alexandra's step father, that he would even lay a hand on her, anger towards his father, anger towards gossip girl. Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. The took a deep breath the last thing he wanted was to breakdown here right now in front of Alexandra. He would probably scare her forever. "You sure you're okay? I mean you can totally spend the night at my place if you don't want to come back home." Ashton's father was out of town, and he was thankful for that. He didn't want to come home to him.
Alexandra glanced back at her house, then back towards him, "I'd really like that, actually." she said softly, looking down at her lap, then over at him, "Thank you." she said sincerely, "You have no idea how much that means." Of course, she would shrug everything off, saying they'd only got in a disagreement, and it was her fault, but it seemed as if Ashton guessed the truth
Ashton pulled out of the driveway glancing over at his friend, "No problem. Stay as long as you want. My dad's up at one of his hotels in England on business. If you ever want to talk about it, I'm here. I may be more understanding then you think," he stated as he started to drive towards the studio. He knew that if he pushed Alexandra into talking that it would probably pushed her away he decided to let her come to him on his own. He remember when he had pushed Reese too hard into confessing to him, he didn't go over well, "Same studio as Reese, right?"
"Yeah" she smiled over at him, "That's the one." She watched the houses fly by them at a fair pace. "Are you excited?" she asked with a gentle smile
"Yeah," Ashton lied, he was more nervous than excited. He turned towards his friend after he parked his car, "Piny promise not to laugh at me?" He held out his pinky towards her waiting for her to wrap hers around.
She giggled, and wrapped her tiny pinky around his, "i pinky promise to try my hardest not to laugh. I promise its really not that difficult"
Ashton chuckled softly as he shot her a wink, "Good. Now that we are done with our ride. We can get this dancing started," he grinned as he exited the car and went over to her side to get her door and held it open, "How long have you been dancing?"
She smiled, "since i was three. Myparents wanted me to be a proffwsional. Obviously it didn't happen" she said, shrugging it off
"Wow, I bet you're amazing," Ashton responded as he started to walk inside the studio, "What type of dance do you do? I know Reese is all for ballet. Do you do a mixture or just one type?" He glanced around at the signs in hope to possibly find the changeroom.
"I do ballet and contemporary mostly, but ive trained in almost every style" ahe smiled, before extending a hand to the rgiht, "guys changing room is that way"
