1. Ned's daughters still haven't left King's Landing yet...no more than Cersei and her kids, though. They're supposed to leave at midday.
2. Arya seems happy to be going back home, though Sansa still seems depressed about it.
3. I like Septa Mordane here when she tells Sansa her father knows best and she ought not to question his decisions. Even when Sansa runs off she respects Ned's judgment, even though he doesn't keep her gods.
4. Pycelle comes out and announces Robert is officially dead. Ned mentions Robert would not have wanted to rest in death, but love and laugh, and enjoy a righteous battle. :)
5. I just noticed that Littlefinger smiles a lot at nothing in particular, something Theon Greyjoy does a lot right now in the book, and we know what happens to Theon... I'm starting to wonder if Littlefinger is a foil character to Theon, in future books. *SPOILER FOR A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE* (view spoiler) Or am I once again thinking too far into this? lol
6. Unlike Robert, Renly Baratheon abandons Ned when he could really use his help the most. This made me lose some respect for Renly. Ran off with Loras without warning him first.
7. Ser Barriston reads aloud to the council Robert's will. Ned feels bad for the deceit, and doesn't trust that Selmy will easily abandon Joffrey in favor of Stannis as Robert's heir, being honor-bound. This seems like a red flag, to me, that Ned doesn't even trust Ser Barriston at this point...another honor-bound man. Ned is trying to "play the game" until Stannis gets to King's Landing.
8. Before they can do much talking, Joffrey summons them all to the throne room. He's of course proclaiming to be king. Interesting that the last time Ned came toward the Iron Throne he had to force Jaime off the throne and wonders how hard Joffrey will be. Five of seven kingsguard are behind Joffrey, besides Ser Barriston and Jaime.
9. Interesting Cersei wears so much green. Lannister colors are red and gold, and her mother was Tywin's first cousin, also a Lannister by maiden name. She must really love her eye color!
10. Behind them stood twenty Lannister guards, but all along the walls of the room stood the City Guard Petyr had promised Ned. They outnumber Lannistermen five to one. Ned feels secure.
11. Littlefinger has "kindly" helped Ned walk tot he Iron Throne room. Ned rests against him for support. Ugh.
12. Joffrey wants his councilors to swear fealty to him now. That's why Renly ran off, I bet. He knew this would happen.
13. Still don't understand why Ned told Varys to give Robert's will to Cersei. She rips it into pieces. Loved Selmy's response to this: "Those were the king's words!" Do you think she gives a shit?
14. Now Cersei gives him her advice - to bend the knee; and she promises he can go back to Winterfell and live out his days in peace, more or less. But Ned is too confident, and honorable, to do that.
15. They way Joffrey screams "Liar!" sounds like he's heard the rumor that he's not the true heir before...almost. Myrcella sounds genuinely perplexed.
16. Cersei orders Ser Barriston to seize Ned; he hesitates, confused no doubt, but Stark guards block him. Cersei orders the kingsguard and Lannisters to support Selmy, who's probably still lost.
17. I smirked when Joffrey screams for them to kill them all! Wtf you idiot... Everyone ignore the ignorant 12-year-old please.
18. Ned too confidently calls the City Guard to seize Cersei and her kids but instead Janos Slynt, the commander of the City Watch, slaughters all of Stark's guards...betrayal! As Ned watches in disbelief, Littlefinger takes Ned's knife and holds it up to his neck, saying, "I did warn you not to trust me, you know." You fucker! Makes you wonder whatever made Ned decide to trust Littlefinger in the first place. For the love of Catelyn? Certainly not!

I did notice Cersei wears a lot of green, but it is said her eyes are beautiful, so maybe she wears it because she knows she looks good. I don't know lol, but she is really vain so it could be.
About your point 15 I think Cersei told him about it first, that maybe Ned will tell that "lie".
Lol at your point 17. Joffrey's ignorance can't be put into words.
I repeat, Littlefinger does not love Catelyn. He did everything he could to ruin Ned, and he did it.
1-So, we start with some drama from Sansa, who is crying because ned told her she can't say goodbye to Joffrey and with Arya who just wants to have a last lesson before they go. I got the vibe Arya is in fact happy to leave, while for Sansa is the end of her world. The ship will sail that night, and I found it interesting how Ned said "I will try
to make her understand when we are all safely back in Winterfell." So, I got that he wanted to go back at some point, since he asks the members of the small council to ackowledge him as Protector of the Realm.
2-Robert died. Ned's feeling are so well writing, reading what he felt made me sad. He loved Robert so much, he wanted to cry but he couldn't because he was still his Hand. By the way, Robert must have been an incredibly strong man, to live that long with that type of wound.
3-Ned calls the small council to his chambers because everything is crazy and unsafe outside, and when Littlefinger shows up, he lets Ned know he has the City Watch. And I think because Ned believes him it's why he says Joffrey is not the heir later. He also finds out Lord Renly left the city, with Ser Loras and the men he offered Ned before. It makes me think, maybe the members of the small council can do as they like, or maybe because Stannis and Renly are Robert's brothers no one stoped them?
4-He still hopes Stannis at some point will go to King's Landing, and take the throne. Eddard knows Ser Barristan and a lot of people won't believe that easily Joffrey is not Robert's son.
5-Joffrey summons the small council, and when they say his titles, they also say Protector of the Realm. So, we know we'll have some trouble.
6-It makes me so angry Ned thinks, when he sees the City Watch that Petyr kept his promise. He shouldn't have believed this liar!
7-Thins get out of hand here. Joffrey wants to be crown, Ned asks Varys to show the Queen the letter Robert wrote and she ripped it and did not give a shit about it (and Ser Barristan was shocked, since those were the King's words). Cersei tells Ned to bend the knee and she'll let him go, he's like hell no and tells Joffrey is not the true heir, Stannis should sit the throne. Cersei tells Ser Barristan to seize Ned, he doesn't know what to do, and everyone starts to drew their swords, and things get out of hand for Ned, of course. The lovely Joffrey wants them all dead, Ned tells Janos Slynt to take Cersei and her children and they attack Ned's men. And it's so sad, all this men dying. And then, we learn Littlefinger died. I have to give him credit though, he did warn Ned not to trust him.
