Israel SciFi and Fantasy Book Club discussion

It looks like this year's international guest author at the ICon is Ted Chiang, who I'm not familiar with.
Has anyone here read anything by him?
Anyone planning on going to the ICon to see him?

I was just about to ask if anyone was going.
I would need to take a day off so I am not sure going solo would be worth it.

Never heard of him.
I'm planning on going to ICon, but not sure which day - if it's on Weds then I may go to one of Chiang's events.

Every year I eagerly check the ICon schedule in the hope that they will bring someone whose books I actually read, but it hasn't happened yet.

I wasn't really planning on going this year but maybe we can do a meetup (perhaps the book exchange that I suggested in the other thread. That would make it worth it for me.
