((Switch to Pine field?))

"Hello?" Alex called out, a few stalls away. She had heard someone enter and was curious who this stranger was, going to investigate. She reached the stall he was in and smiled. "Who are you?" she asked, curiosity getting the better of her. "I'm Alex," she extended her hand to shake his. Now Erebus would see the redheaded girl, hay in her hair. It was quite an amusing sight.

Alex shook Erebus's hand, giving it one firm shake and then letting go. "Nice to meet you too, Erebus," she smiled, noticing his blue hair. "Is Thana your sister?" she blurted out, blushing a little at the suddenness of it. She didn't know what came over her, hoping it didn't come off as rude. "Is this your horse, or one of the schools?" she asked curiously, leaning against the wall of the stall.

Alex grinned. "Your sister is fun," she told him. "The actions of a parent don't reflect the actions of the child," Alex quoted softly. "You may be connected by blood but that doesn't mean you are the same. You know the quote 'blood is thicker than water'?" she asked, not waiting for a response. Alex didn't mean it as being rude, but it could come off that way. "Some people know it that way but there's more to it. 'The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.' Meaning that relationships formed by choice can be stronger than those formed by circumstance," Alex explained. "Anyways," she blushed, changing the subject, "I think I could help with your wish to ride this creature," she smiled.

"You haven't met Thana? Who did you live with then?" Alex questioned. "Well who cares what others think, as long as you're happy with yourself?" she asked rhetorically. "You're mother is Persephone, right?" she asked, not quite sure if she was right. Sure, Persephone was his wife, but gods and goddesses were known to cheat on each other. "Wait.. your mother died?" she questioned. This made Alex believe that Persephone wasn't his mother. She brightened up. "Well yes, I can," she laughed, approaching the fine beast. She spoke quietly and in a tongue that Erebus wouldn't recognize, as no mortals and very few gods knew the old language. The only gods who did were Zeus, Poseidon, Hercules, and Alex. Others had attempted to learn, but had failed. It would seem that she was having a conversation with the horse, talking rapidly but quietly. Alex laughed and turned to Erebus, still speaking in the foreign tongue. She had realized her error and quickly switched back to English. "Ah, sorry about that. He says that first of all, although it says his name in Norbert, he'd much rather be called Deborah. Now that we have that cleared, he's nervous about how you'd treat him when you ride him. I was able to convince him to let you ride on top of him, but you cannot harm him in any way. He will not wear a bit, so you'll have to hold onto his hair. I'd suggest riding bareback, as he absolutely detests saddles," Alex explained seriously.
