LJF | 260 comments Fae loved this place. She wanted to read everything she could get her hands on.

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Cas walked in and looked around. He didn't really like the library, everyone telling him to be quiet or don't set the books on fire. He put a hand through his white hair.

message 4: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments She sensed him walking in. She turned to look at him. She stared. Achingly empty, but pure white underneath. What was wrong?
"Hello," she said, skipping over to him, "I'm Faenia LeRoux, but you can call me Fae. What's your name?"

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Cas looked at the girl and snorted. "Caspian Delta. Call me Cas though." He didn't really feel like making conversation so he walked over to a shelf and looked at the books.

message 6: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments Which card should she play? She'd scare him with the real one, so she decided on another.
She skipped over to him. "Where do you live," she asked, "We live in a house in the woods, and my sister found it, but you can't find it. We just got here and-" she continued babbling. She was playing the annoying little kid card. If he was close to her age, or really knew someone around her age, he'd see right through her, see that she was acting five, not thirteen, and call her out on it. If not...Oh well, then she'd just annoy him.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

"That's none of your business." He shrugged. He wasn't old enough to live in a house by himself, he didn't have a family or pets so he lived by himself...in a tree. He moved away from her again. She was acting like the kind of person he hated, happy. He couldn't tell what she was. He couldn't really see her ears, because of her hair.

message 8: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments His figure indicated that he thought her an annoying, happy, little kid. Really.
"I'm kidding," she laughed, "You seriously fell for the whole 'I'm an annoying five-year-old, please entertain me' act? Honestly, you must think I'm an air-headed idiot."

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

"Everyone's an idiot in there own way." He shrugged again. He didn't look at her and kept looking at the books. He put his hands in his pockets. He tapped his foot waiting for her to go away.

message 10: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments He wanted her to go away. Too bad. Why was he even here? Did he like the quiet? Somehow, she didn't think so.
"Come on, I want to show you something."
She grabbed his arm and pulled him after her. She was stronger than she looked. "You have to see this!"

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

He pulled his arm away from her quickly, "I do not like physical contact." He had nothing else to do and was pretty board anyways. "But I'll follow you."

message 12: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments Seriously? What was with this guy? He was so stiff and formal.
She led him past the history section, up the stairs, around the songspells, until she got to the section all about the Haven. She got down on her knees until she found the knothole at the very bottom. She blocked it so he couldn't see what she was doing, then she pressed it, blew on it, and whispered the secret word.
She stood up, and the bookcase opened, revealing a really dark passage. She skipped in. "You coming," she called, "Don't worry, it'll close behind you, but you can't use that fire of yours in here." Let him guess how she knew about his powers.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

He didn't know if he should trust this girl. She could've been a hunter coming to kill him. He shrugged, be could probably take her. He followed her. The weirdest thing was how she knew about his powers. Did she see him before? He knew he never saw her.

message 14: by LJF (last edited Sep 13, 2015 10:40AM) (new)

LJF | 260 comments "Just for the record, I have no idea what's at the end of this passage," she said, "I just got to the library for the first time five minutes ago. I've never been in this passage before." This was fun, baiting and confusing him. He probably assumed she was lying, but she wasn't.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

"So your not just taking me down here to kill me?" He asked. She could have been like that Lamia girl but at least she admitted that she wanted to kill him. His ears turned red and went up again.

message 16: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments "Why would I want to kill you," she asked, "Clare isn't really that bad, she just pretends."
Who but Clare would make him believe a random girl would want to kill him. Most lamia probably weren't so cynical. Even a hunter wouldn't do something so obvious. Therefore, it had to have been Clare.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

"Stop doing that." His eyebrows furrowed. He crossed his arms. He couldn't think anything with her around. "What even are you?" She didn't seem like a lamia or an elf. Maybe a powerbound.

message 18: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments "I'm sure I don't know," she said, mimicking his slightly old-fashioned manner of speech, "But you're an elf, aren't you? No, I'm not a mind-reader, but I have met Clare, and I imagine she'd scare anyone who didn't know she had a good heart- but she'd never admit it, you know."

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

((Sorry to be a rp crasher, but I would just like to point out that Clare is not a nice person! She is mean and awful and not nice... She's like the Rumpelstiltskin and Fae is Bell))

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

"No I'm just a mortal with pointy ears and the ability to summon fire." He said sarcastically. And if Clare had a good side she did a great job in hiding it. She hated him like most of the people in the Haven. He continued walking down the tunnel ahead of her.

message 21: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments (Rumpelstiltskin is good-hearted, just the stupid dark one makes him selfish. Besides, Fae is Fae. Bell is Bell!)

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

((That's what I said or Cas said.))

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

((Fine Clare is like the Dark One! She's not nice!!!!! TO ANYTHING!!! She kills! She is bad! Bad is her! She's mean!!! I mean she's only nice to snakes!))

message 24: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments "Shh," she whispered, "If we make to much noise, this passage could implode. She pulled the lever in the wall, and walked into a room filled with...books.

message 25: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments ❤Nobody❤ wrote: "((Fine Clare is like the Dark One! She's not nice!!!!! TO ANYTHING!!! She kills! She is bad! Bad is her! She's mean!!! I mean she's only nice to snakes!))"

(Stop it! Clare is nice! I can tell. She's just got a lot of layers of pain, heartbreak, etc. etc., and has built walls so she won't get hurt again.)

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

((I made Clare heartless!))

message 27: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments (If we want a philosophic debate on Clare's evilness, move it to chat.)

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

((Okay))

message 29: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments (But you gave a backstory on why. No character is heartless. She just has walls around her heart, to prevent pain.)

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

He looked into the room, "Are you kidding me? You brought me from a place with books to a place with books." He sighed. "Take me back now." He demanded. He put a hand though his hair again and felt his ears. He wished they would stop doing that. He tried to push them down again.

message 31: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments "But look at these books!" She pulled down one, and handed it to him. He looked at the cover. The book was titled, The Story of Caspian Delta.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

He looked at the book and dropped it. He picked it up again and looked through it. It had his story in it. He tried to burn it. It wouldn't burn. He was getting frustrated, he calmed himself down. "So you spy on everybody with these? Like Clare uses camera's." He kept looking down at the book.

message 33: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments "I told you, I've never been here before," she said, "How do you know about Clare's cameras? Anyway, I don't think anyone writes these. I think they are magically created, one for everyone in the Haven, or even every magical creature in the world! Maybe if we find mine, I can learn more about my past! Will you help me?"

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

He looked around. Everyone had a book. Dead or Alive. He froze at one...his mothers. He picked it up. He was shaking. He quietly put it in his bag. "Uh yeah I'll help you find it." He didn't really like helping that much. It was stupid. "Why do you want to find out your past anyways? Most of them are painful." He wished he could forget his past.

message 35: by LJF (last edited Sep 13, 2015 11:34AM) (new)

LJF | 260 comments "I wouldn't take any of these with you," she said, "There appears to be a kind of magic barrier around the place. I imagine if you left this room with on of them, the passage would collapse on you and the book would come back here."
She sighed. "As to why I want to find my past, I want to know who and what I am, and why someone would sacrifice their life to get me to a safe house, and to others would die so I could escape, all before I was old enough to talk." Why was she sharing this with a stranger? He was kind and trustworthy, she could tell, but those things were private. She sighed again then shook her head and smiled forcefully. "Well, enough talking, let's find it." She walked around the shelves, searching for the book called The Story of Faenia LeRoux. But what if it was marked by her birth name? She'd never find it. No,she thought,I will find it.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

He sighed and put the book back. "So you never read my story? How did you know that I have powers? Or how I know Clare?" He asked. He realized he was asking a lot of questions. "Nevermind." He looked around for her story. "I can't find it and I would advise you to not tell me or anyone about your past IF you find it.

message 37: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments "I already told why I thought you know Clare, and your powers create and aura around you. I don't know why I can see it. My sister Bell can see spells, but I'm better with people," she realized she was shouting. She'd probably never raised her voice like this in her life. "Please," she whispered, "Help me." She felt them coming, the tears trickling down her face, but she couldn't stop them.

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

He thought about hugging her but what good would that do? "Okay, just stop crying. I'll help you. I'm sorry. I'll help you." He nodded and put his hands out in front of him. "But do you really want my help? I'm not very nice or kind and I don't do hugs either." He shrugged.

message 39: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments Honestly. Boys. "Yes, please," she said, blinking back the tears, "I'd love your help."

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

He sighed, Why me? He thought. "Um okay. I'll try my best." He nodded. He really didn't want to let her down for the first time. He chewed on his lip and put his hand though his hair again. "Is your full name your real name?" He asked.

message 41: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments "The only name I've ever known is Faenia LeRoux."

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

"Maybe that's not your real name." He said. "So you've never met your parents?" He asked. He tapped his foot impatiently. He wanted to help but he knew he couldn't.

message 43: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments "No. But I would figure that my book would have the name I've been called by since I was a year old. Who knows if my parents even gave me a name?"

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

He thought. Did she even have a book? Everyone had a book. He didn't know what else to say. He turned his back to her thinking. He turned around again and sighed. "Okay. I'm gonna look around again." He saw Mr.Golds, the owner of the pawn shops, book. He saw his teachers books but he didn't see Fae's book. He was determined to find it.

message 45: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments She kept searching. She climbed the ladder, and got to the alcove at the top. There it was, sitting all alone by itself. The Story of Faenia LeRoux.
"I found it," she called down. She climbed back down, then grabbed his arm and pulled him to the bench in the corner. She cracked open the book.

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

"Please don't touch me." He said carefully. He didn't really like physical contact, it was just him. He moved away from her a bit, just so he could see still the book. "Uh what does it say?"

message 47: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments Faenia LeRoux was born to Veronica Wishern and Farnam Bluewell in the Palace DeChantal, in the kingdom of Grenith. Faram never saw his daughter, because three minutes before she was born, he died of some form of poison that had been poured into his water. Veronica had her neck sliced by her midwife just after the child was born. As the midwife was about to carry off the child, a mysterious cloaked figure came into the room and rescued her. He knocked the midwife unconscious, then poured a potion into the babe's mouth that would freeze her in time until it was time for him to reverse it. He ran, followed by those who wished her dead.
They traveled for many years, so many that none one in living memory could remember the kingdom of Grenith. But still they were pursued, this time by human hunters who wanted to take her powers. So the stranger brought the child to his last hope: a werewolf, the last of his line, who's ancestors had pledged allegiance to the Grenithians eons before. His name was Kol LeRoux.
The stranger was pursued until he reached the LeRoux's secret home, where he was shot and died, breaking the long ago charm on the child. She cried for the first time. Kol understood who she was, and entrusted her to his children, Andrez and Bellins LeRoux, and told them to run.
As his children left, Kol and his wife were killed, while two young children were left to care for the girl who was not only the last of the Grenithians, but the last creature of her kind.

Fae flipped through the book, searching for answers, but it was all stuff she knew already. So a few questions were answered, but millions more were asked.
What was she? What was the kingdom of Grentih, and why was it so important? Why had her siblings lied and told her she was a year old when they got her. According to this, she'd only been a newborn-sort of. How old was she? Why had people wanted to kill her?
She put the book down. "Come on," she told Cas, ignoring his shell-shocked expression at her past, "Let's see if there is anything in the library about this kingdom of Grenith."

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

He was still confused. Clocked figure? Grenith? Who were Andrez and Bellins LeRoux? Siblings? Was she a princess? She was born in a palace. He shook his head. "Um okay." He stood up and followed her.

message 49: by LJF (new)

LJF | 260 comments "Andrez and Bellins are my brother and sister," she told him as they walked up the passage.
(cloaked. he wore a cloak.)

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)

((Yeah sorry))

"You are a mind reader." He frowned. Then continued back toward the library. He would have to come back to that place, to read through his story, his mom's, his dad's. But she probably wouldn't tell him the password anyways.
