This read starts in October. Is everyone okay with the date? Or should we postpone it?

Anytime after 4th October is okay.

I`ll be ready on the 6th

Okay then, we'll begin 6th-7th October.

It's fine for me.

L`m a little bit behind, will try to start this weekend.

I've finished book one . I liked it a lot. Sorry for being so late .

So, who was your favorite character? Least favorite? Did anything shock/ surprise you? What was your favorite scene? Least favorite? Did you have any unanswered questions at the end?

I did she the movie before reading the book so it was pretty similar except that the ending was totally different in the movie.

You know even thought she was bad I like Ridley, l`m sure she`ll be back in the series.

The Main characters had a great chemistry, I liked that they could talk to each other from a distance. The ending was cool especially since the song changed from sixteen to seventeen.

I don`t think Macon is dead, I have a feeling he`ll be back.

I liked the Halloween part with the girls trying to wash the crescent moon but couldn`t because it was done with a Sharpie!

My least favorite was te reanactment of the war. it took too much in the book and I felt they could of just stuck with what happened in the past.

I hope the go more into Ethan powers and how come his mother was involved with Macon

TBH I didn't really have a favorite character. But, I liked the librarian a lot. Gosh! I don't remember her name! Mind enlightening me? I think it was something from M, right?

As for the least favorite character, I didn't like Sarafine, Link's mom and Riley. (Sorry, Dom! Unlike you, Riley failed to win me over.)

And, I agree on the favorite scene with you. That sharpie scene was epic!

Least favorite scene.... umm.... Considering that it's been a while since I read the book, I don't remember much. But, what Link's mom said about Lena was definitely what I hated a lot. But, her uncle and the librarian showing up was great. (I still can't remember her name!)

Unlike you, I hadn't seen the movie. So, there were quite many surprises for me. First, Amma's history. Second, Amma and Lena's uncle knowing each other. Third, Ethan's mom's bestie knowing of that world and being the librarian of that fascinatingly bizarre library. (Yup, I'm still having a hard time remembering her name!) Fourth, Ethan's mom knowing of that world. Fifth, Ethan's mom leaving that bizarre mystery for her to solve. I think that's all. These are the only I can dig up right now.

And, like you, I have the big question roaming around my head- How did Ethan's mom know about that world?

it was Marian!

yeah for sure what Link`s mom did and said was pretty bad but we have to remember that it was Sarafine who was controlling her but she took over someone who already didn`t like the family.

The sisters were pretty funny!

I know. She killed her husband and l`m sure she`s responsible for Ethan`s mom death too. the moment she was claimed the dark too over. I wonder if in one of the books they will go back to when she was young before she turned.

I didn't think about that! But, I guess, maybe she was instrumental in Ethan's mom's death.

And, I would love to read such a book! It would give us an opportunity to know how she used to be before going dark.

L`m pretty sure it`s in one of the 3 books remaining. She escaped with Hunter and Larkin, for sure they will show up. Hunter wasn`t there for a long time and it was obvious Him and macon don`t see eye to eye.
I love Boo Radley, I laughed when during the meeting Macon said Boo was his seeing eye dog!

It must be great to have a dog like that. even though he wasn`t present around town, she still knew every juicy little secrets.

I started the book today. I'm gonna take it slow. Just two sections a day. And, I'm also gonna make notes so that I don't forget certain ~characters~ when we discuss. =)
