i've finished it!! And I can't stay still until I buy World After! The ending was unpredictable! Like I had predicted a few bits but what happened in these last chapters just shocked me! And kind of broke my heart! Paige my god! I can't say how bad I felt when Penryn found her. But I am happy they didn't leave her behind. I hope she doesn't become a threat in the future. And Raffe! Shit. Bat wings... I just can't describe how I felt when he was desperately trying to pull of his snowy wings from that bastard's back ( forgive my language). And when his sword rejected him, that moment just had did it. I am glad at least Penryn can wield it. So it's Penryn's sword now.And those words. Raffe likes her against all his resistance, all the forbidden thing, the words " I knew from the start that your loyalty would get you killed. I just never thought it would be your loyalty to me that would do it. "
There mission, the one for which they got United for was successful but not the way they wanted to. An unsuccessful success or an incomplete completion. (I love these kinda words :) ) I mean he's flying but not with the wings he wanted. Her family is with her finally but in not the condition she wanted.
The action, the romance, the characters, the plot, the writing was spectacular! Like literally mind blowing spectacular! Susan Ee - love her!
I am happy there isn't a major cliffhanger. But it still forces me to read the second book. I can't wait to see the effect of the attack on Angels. And I can't wait to read what will happen with Raffe and Penryn.
I was screaming by the end of the book - everything was so amazing about the book. I own both the next ones and am SO estatic to read them.You put it all so well. (And he definitely was a bastard!!)
