Sofia Camacho (sofia_the_bookworm) Ron Weasley is one of those characters you just won't understand if you didn't read the books.
I don't mean to offend anyone who hasn't, but in the movies, Ron is constantly portrayed as the dumb, clumsy sidekick. In the books, he is given so much more character, as he is not only Harry's best friend, he might as well be his brother.

Nina (nainafainant) | 27 comments Yeah, in the books you can see more of who he is. Like in the first book he is described as this nervous little kid and you can definitely see how he develops as a character.

Ravenpaw/claw~Raise a Glass to Freedom (ravenpawclaw) | 750 comments Yeah. In the movies it really highlights the bad factors of him. It shows dumb, rude, a terrible friend, and untrusting. In the books he is also those things, but he does have lots of bravery and loyalty in the books sometimes.

Ayla I hate how they poetaryed Ron on movies.(live Rupert Grint). In movie every good line of his is given to Hermione.( example: in 3rd movie Hermione said to Sirius : If you want to kill Harry, you have to go through us, when in fact Ron said that.) I am aware that he has flaws and they are shown in movies, but he has so much good sides and he is such a good friend and I don't think that showed it in the movies (at least not enough).

I also don't like how he is portrayed in the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. In that book he is making jokes only, and really is not doing anything worthy, which is total opposite of other books.

My English is not the best, sorry for that.
