I might not have time to read this until December, depending on how much homework I have, but I will try to start before then.

Ooooooh! It's been so long since I've read this book, it will be a good excuse to read it again! I look forward to the discussions!
Is anyone else reading this? I started it a few days ago.
I am in chapter 4 now, "The Chaining of Melko." It is slow going for me, but I am chugging along. I am amused by Tolkien's giving characters and places multiple names.
I finally finished this book today. I had a bit of a hard time with the archaic language style; and kept stumbling over some of the names. There were so many characters, that I was not able to keep up with everyone or who was who. Otherwise, it was interesting to read Tolkien's working out of his mythology.
