to be honest, I haven't read Vampire Academy so I'm not to sure. What didn't you like about Vampire Academy?

Soundless is a bit slow to get to the main point that I wanted to get at but its is still an easy read.

I'm going to read Throne of Glass very soon. I don't know about the other three, but I'd recommend City of Bones.
