Netherlands & Flanders group discussion

Hi! I am a PhD student in Publishing Studies at Edinburgh Napier University.

My research project focuses on reading habits in the Netherlands, with a particular regard to the consumption of English-language books among Dutch readers.

I am writing here to ask if you would like to share your thoughts on this subject by taking part in a short survey. I’d be very grateful if you could do that, as the readers’ opinion would be extremely valuable for my research!

Thanks Sanne! I'd love to inform the people that have participated in the survey about the results. However, it will take a while before I have some final results. If everything goes according to plan, my thesis should be finished in 2 years :) I really hope many people will complete the survey, so that I end up with some meaningful data. If you know of any other platforms for Dutch readers please feel free to share the link.

A minor issue with the survey could be that readers might read in other big languages like French and German as well.

Yes Pat, you're absolutely right! I have only considered English in the survey since my research concentrates mainly on the consumption of English-language texts (for the simple reason that this is apparently much more common than other languages). However, if you regularly read also in other languages, you can write that in the comment sections, which are available after every question.

Hi, I was just wondering, your research does that only cover the Netherlands or does it also include neighboring Dutch-reading Flanders (Belgium)?
