I just found A Questionable Client is a short story within Magic Graves. As it is a short story I will read this in January and start with Magic Bites in February. Does that work for anyone who wants to join in?

I found it free right in goodreads. Go to the book and the first review by Anna says read for free here, click on that and the story comes up.

Is anyone reading Questionable Client before book 1? I just picked it up last night. It's a very short read.

It is a shame we're going to lose all those shelfari discussions. I referred back to the Blue Monday ones whilst I was reading Tuesday's Gone.

I am thinking around the 25th of the month. Don't want to interfere with all of the group reads and thinking that this will give us a chance to read those and then this one.... I have another challenging month ahead :-)

I am starting the audio tonight

I am doing several of the group reads first, I will probably start mid month with the novella.

I finished copying over Lauren's discussion questions for the series, through the 4th book (where it ends...by that time, we'd come here). They are really good questions!

Just shout when you're ready for them.

I want to start this series in 2016 as well, but reading time is so minimal and I have a few group reads/challenges going on already. I might add this since it's a book every 2 months and join discussions when I get to it!

For some reason, I am having a hard time getting into Magic Bites. I am going to put it off for a bit and try again.

Here's the deal on that book....

There's a density of world building in this book that you won't really see at this level again. If you can read it in bits and "bites" there's a HUGE payoff not only about 50% in, but through the rest of the series.

I struggled with my eyes crossing sometimes. But, when it gets going, it never stops.

I also switched to audio after this book (thanks to Monica). The narration is outstanding.

I like the narration but the story was not penetrating my brain :( I will switch back later.
