I finished this book over the weekend and I can't stop thinking about how good it is! It's an instant new favorite and I'm going to pick up the author's other novel as soon as possible. This is gothic ghost story set in pre-Civil War Mississippi and retelling of the Bluebeard fairytale. I couldn't have stumbled upon a better October read. Five stars and highly recommended.

This is on my to-read list as well and everyone who already read it is loving it. I can't wait to get my hands on this, I'm a sucker for fairytale retellings!
I think you'll love it too, Natalia. It is, hands down, the best fairytale retelling I've ever read, and I love them so I've read a lot.
